Hello All,
I am Alsace, one of the border countries between France and Germany. I have been hearing something about letters from both my Papa Francis and my Papi Ludwig, and I decided to see what was the big deal about this letter writing.
Feel free to write me a letter, and I will get back to you when I'm not busy reading or doing something of importance that might take up my time.

Dear Alsace,
How are you? I doubt I've had the pleasure of meeting you before, have I?
Wishing you all the best, The Commonwealth Of The Bahamas

Liebe Elsaß,
what a pleasant surprise that you joined the letter trend. It has been a while since we got the chance to talk. How have you been? I hope that France is treating you well. May I ask you a favour? I would appreciate it if you could stop calling me "Papi", since I am certainly not your father. Actually I am much younger than you...
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

The Commonwealth of The Bahamas
I'm am currently doing well, how about yourself.
Unless you have been to one of Papa's inner house meetings, probably not. I tend to stay around my area most of the time, though you might have met some of my citizens as they have migrated to the United States.
Wishing a good day to you.

Dear Astrid,
I can call you that right?
I have't I can say that rather obviously. Martinique might have, but I'm not Martinique. So no. Some of you citizens who migrated to the USA, I don't really tend to know much of migration and the US other than my 12% of white people...are mostly from the USA originally. And mine who migrate over there...though not much about others. Sorry. And thank you for not calling him America.
Wishing you all the best,
Marisha The Commonwealth Of The Bahamas

Liebe Papi
I figured I should join in and see what all this is about.
I have been good, though it is quite cold here, but that is to be expected in the winter months.
I almost laughed when the President Sarkozy was in Alsace telling us that he would assure the farmers income against the other countries, but not against Germany, because he was in Germany. The look on his face when he realized the faux pas he had made. As you know, the citizens are very sensitive to their nationality, so they were not happy as they are now considered French.
Papa is treating me extremely well, I have no complaints other than the president not knowing the regions in his own country.
I have been hearing around that you are stressing yourself out again; I wish you wouldn't. You know how we all worry about you when you do that. You can afford to take a break every once in a while.
I do not see anything wrong with it. You watched out for me when I was a part of Deutschland and I have a great deal of respect for you. I may be slightly older, but does that make a difference?
Ich wünsche Ihnen auch Astrid
((sorry if the translation is off, I'm using google translate. It is supposed to be wishing you well.))

Marisha,
You may call me that, if I can call you Marisha in return.
Martinique...the name does not sound familiar to me, who is that?
Well, it doesn't really matter though. I've only met him once when my people started migrating, and that was a long time ago, I have no reason to call him America, especially when there are other parts of North America besides himself.

Astrid,
Of course you can call me Marisha.
Martinique is an island in the eastern Caribbean Sea, with a land area of 1,128 km2 (436 sq mi). Like Guadeloupe, it is an overseas region of France, consisting of a single overseas department. To the northwest lies Dominica, to the south St Lucia, and to the southeast Barbados. As with the other overseas departments, Martinique is one of the twenty-seven regions of France (being an overseas region) and an integral part of the Republic. So technically, he's a French region.
America is a continent composed of 35 states and 18 Dependencies. So...yeah. Thank you, everyone else just calls him America.

Hmm, I probably met him before then, but just didn't pay much attention. I shall look through my pictures with Papa and see if I can remember him.
I thought the United States had 50 states? Unless I am reading that wrong. Well, your welcome then.

Astrid,
No one remembers the poor guy, I feel kind of sorry for him. You should ask your papa if he remembers him?
No America the continent has 35 Sovereign states, my bad. USA had 50 or something like that, which brings me to the thought...why the hell does Al exist if he's just a united version of all those states?

Papa is really busy right now, he hasn't had a chance to talk to a lot of us in a while, and he usually always makes time to at least talk to me. When he gets a free time, I'll ask him.
Ah, North America, I got it. I have no idea how he exists....but couldn't that be said for Papa and the rest of the Nations though? Could it be that even though the personifications of the states and there such regions exist, there are still too many of them to really make any decisions, so there must be one representative that listens to the rest of them. Kind of like our version of the President and Prime Minister?

Liebe Elsaß,
it is a good opportunity to improve international relations.
Well, since we are neighbours, I can see that. Nevertheless it is rather warm for winter so far and Bavaria keeps complaining that he has too little snow for skiing.
That is what Sarkozy said? Meine Güte! That is really embarrassing for a president, especially since he should know how troublesome that topic has been in the past.
That is good to hear. I trust France to treat his regions well especially the pretty girls.
You heard about that? Oh dear... Sorry, I didn't exactly want all the world to know. Ja, I was overworking myself a bit because of the financial crisis. But by now I am well again and my older brothers are assisting me in work.
But it is wrong. You are not a part of Germany anymore, but a part of France. Furthermore you know what a "father" is, right? I am not your father, no matter how you look at it. And don't you think that it might give people the wrong idea if you call France and me both your fathers?
Viele Grüße, Ludwig
P.S.: "Ich wünsche Ihnen auch"...? Is it true that you are forgetting your German? That means "I wish you too". What were you trying to say, Astrid?
((It is off indeed. ^^; "Viele Grüße" is "many greetings", that's about standard (not too formal, but not too familiar either), less formal is "Liebe Grüße". "Alles Gute" is like "All the best" or "Alles Liebe" like "lots of love" (but that's not 100% it, rather "all that is dear" ^^;). ))

Lieber Papi,
Yes, I have already been contacted by the Bahamas. It is always interesting to have discussions with people you have just met...well, received letter.
I can see that, he really loves his skiing doesn't he? Would you and Bavaria like to come skiing at some point in the Vosge? We also offer cross-country and downhill skiing, along with snowboarding and snowshoeing. I would love to take you on a tour of the forests and the villages around here again...though, honestly, I don't believe much has changed since you were last here.
Yes, he treats everyone extremely well. He flirts with all the girls and the guys...though we all know that's just his nature and not to take him seriously. Other than that, he is attentive like a papa should be.
Oui, it was. He tried to play it off, but no one was happy. Actually, I believe it went viral not long after that. You would not believe the chewing out papa gave him, I wouldn't have wanted to have been him. Then again, I never do, I don't really like that man. I liked the one before him better.
There is no reason to be sorry. Of course I heard, being this close to Deutschland. I wouldn't be surprised if Lorraine hasn't heard though. I know I didn't tell her. I am glad to hear that you are well, and I'm glad that they are assisting you... is that faul Preußen helping too? ((Lazy Prussia))
I know I am not apart of Deutschland anymore, but why does that matter? I once was and I have a great respect for you. I respect both you and France equally, and I'm allowed to call France papa. As for the rest of that, that's just silly. But if it will make you happy, I'll just call you papi in letters and in private. Though if you would still prefer that I didn't call you that, what should I call you to show equal respect then?
Viele Grüße
Astrid
Ehh... merde. I was trying to say wishing you well. That's embarrassing.

Astrid,
Well I don't get what he'd be doing in his spare time if all his boss is doing is talking down other nations' bosses. What he said about daddy's boss was inexcusable. Though the EU thing, yeah I get he'd be busy.
As a Nation made up of many islands myself...it wouldn't matter, every region seems to fight no matter what you say or do. It'd make our jobs much easier if y'all got along though, chall. Honestly though, if a Nation was to listen to whatever a region wants...and every region. No one would be happy.

Marisha,
Yea, he hasn't been around much....I totally understand though. The president forgot that Alsace was apart of France and called us German... France and Germany fought over Alsace and Lorraine a lot in WW2 and we changed nationality four times, so its a touchy subject for the citizens. They actually boo'd him at the speech he was given when he mad that faux pas.
That's why they are nations, they have to make the decision when all of us smaller regions wouldn't be able to. They knew they can't please everyone, but they (hopefully) do what is best for the country as a whole.
