Astrid,
I don't. A Nation should always have time for his Regions. Always. Maybe it's just personal dislike of your papa, sorry. Well it depends you know? When you border someone you may get a few citizens from other countries...he can't honestly have forgotten could he?
Sad though, I think at least. We'd love to please you all.

California,
I'm afraid I don't know much Spanish, but I have picked up on omse European Spanish since Papa hangs out with Espagne((Spain in French)). I am good, how about yourself. I think we can, I am having a good time with these letters so far.
Since you told me a little bit about yourself, I will tell you a bit about me. I might not have been a colony, my terrority has changed hands between Papa Francis and Ludwig four times; the last time Papa gain control.
Viele Grüße Astrid

No reason to apologize, We all have people we don't like. He should know how sensitive our region is, having changed hand so many times. I really don't care if he had forgotten or not. I don't like that man. I liked the president before him better.
Well, with 27 regions in France, and other nations having a lot more, it would be impossible to please everyone all of the time. I know that most of us here in France understands.
Astrid
((The France on here had to leave and might not come back, so we are all claiming that it is work that is keeping France away.))

Liebe Elsaß,
I am glad to hear that you were able to establish contacts already. Talking to distant countries is always interesting and instructive.
He sure does love skiing. And he is very competitive when it comes to Austria and Switzerland, too. It seems skiing is the end of the Edelweiss-friendship. I will make sure to ask Joseph, but if I remember correctly he was happy enough to finally get enough snow for skiing in the Alps. It would be a pleasure to visit you again on occasion though.
Unfortunately that doesn't surprise me at all. But as long as you are all well, I guess I can overlook that habit of France.
That doesn't surprise me either. I never had any problems neither with Monsieur Sarkozy nor with Monsieur Chirac. But when you say you liked the latter more, you also should keep in mind that last week he was sentenced for corruption.
That is not good... Oh dear... I really didn't want anyone to know about that. To be honest, I don't know what Gilbert is doing right now. I left for Japan a couple of days ago and at that time Gilbert wasn't home.
But that still leaves the point that we obviously don't have a father-daughter-relationship. Actually I would prefer if you didn't call me Papi at all. How about simply calling me by my name?
Viele Grüße, Ludwig
P.S.: You should think about taking lessons then before you forget one of your mother tongues.

Astrid,
No offence, he's evil. Well...you know he'll be out one day and then you'll have a nice guy, I think he annoys a lot of people so you have no need to worry! A president's term shouldn't be long for you, well considering how old you are and all.
....I have 29 different regions/islands. I know that. Then that's a good thing, but you know...with France...I'm always going to pick holes. I should change the subject really...

Liber Papi
It is very interesting so far, we have been having a great discussion on how Nations and regions are needed.
I assume that there is something between a lot of the nations that would cause a rivalry, though I assume that skiing is one of the rather harmless ones. Well, the offer still stands for skiing over here if you two would like a change of scenery. It would be a pleasure to have you visit, I don't remember the last time I saw you. Has anything changed any?
I am well, and he knows where to draw the line, otherwise I'll step on his foot. I only had to do that once.
Yes, I heard about that after my last letter to you. I have trouble believing he embezzled and created false jobs and everything else, but it is as it is. I have now changed my opinion on him.
I should be the only one around here that knows, so no need to worry. It hasn't spread as far as you think. Preußen tends to come and go, doesn't he? I wonder what he does in his free time?
Are you having a good time visiting Japan? He is an old friend of yours, isn't he? But how is calling you by name any better than Papi? Well, how about this, I'll call you Ludwig if you call me Astrid. Is that a fair compromise?
Viele Grüße,
Astrid
P. S. I will look into that. I wouldn't want to forgot my German, that would be quite embarrassing.

Marisha,
Yes, I hope he gets what he deserves for embezzling and everything else he did. I can believe that. And with it being close to election time, we have to deal with hearing it more...even out here on the border.
Yes, lets change the subject. One does not have to like other nations personifications. What would you like to talk about now?

Astrid,
We all get our just desserts in the end, I'm sure he will as well. Hey, when it's done you'll probably have a shiny new leader who'll listen to you. Or you could always demand independence...
Hmm...well is there anything new with you, Astrid?

Marisha,
True, very true. Hopefully they will listen to what we have to say. As for demanding independence, I've belong to some some sort of Nation or Empire since the days of the Holy Roman Empire, it would be too weird.
Noting really is going on in my part of the country. Is there anything new with you?

Liebe Astrid,
that sounds like a rather philosophical discussion then. It must be interesting.
You are right. That harmless rivalry about skiing seems to be a nice change from the other rivalries my siblings usually have with each other. I will think about your offer when I am back home again. Unfortunately I really has been quite a while since I have visited you. Do you mean if I have changed in the meantime? No, I don't think so.
As long as you know how to protect yourself, I am somewhat relieved.
It is sad that even a great man like him seems to have some dark spots in his past. It reminded me of Herrn Kohl's, my chancellor who managed the reunification of Gilbert's and my countries, contributions scandal.
I hope that you are right about this. Please also make sure not to mention it around France. Gilbert is grown-up and as long as he gets his work done, I have no reason not to trust him. Err... I don't really want to know how he spends his free time though.
That is right. Japan and I have just recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of our friendship. It is a fair compromise, Astrid.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig
P. S. Let me know if you need help with it.

Liber Ludwig
It is quite interesting. Actually, we were discussing why Nations were needed at all when there were regions like myself around.
Well, I didn't really mean you, but it is good to know that you haven't changed. I meant my region. It's hasn't changed much, if any. Just some new roofs on the houses, but nothing major.
Yes, I remember some of the training activities you taught me to protect myself...or was it Preußen....whichever one of you two it was, I still remember it.
Yes, that is sad. I would still think of that Herr Kohl would be considered a great man despite his falts, after all, he did reunite you with your Bruder. , no matter how great. I would have to say that everyone would have a dark spot on in their pasts.
Do not worry, I will keep silent. In truth, it is no one's business but your own. I do not spread gossip. Yes, that is true, he is older than both of us. Does he still get bored after he sneezes though? Yes, I see him around here sometimes spending time with papa and Spanien, I do not pay attention to it though.
You two have been friends a lot time. I hope that you are enjoying yourself You need some fun in your life. Um, if it would not be to much to ask, could you bring me back a souvenir? I haven't been anywhere besides Deutschland and France. If you do not have time, do not feel bad if you cannot.
Glad we could come to an agreement.
Viele Grüße Astrid
P.S. I certainly will...thought It is hard to know what I need help with when I do not know exactly what I have forgotten....like when I tried to wish you well.

Astrid,
So? I've been part of daddy or Spain since as long as I can remember. Getting independence is weird, but you know...there are some nations like Bavaria and Quebec who would love to get independence!
Well, employee theft reports are rising? If that means much to you, doll. Oh! And Happy Almost New year!

Marisha,
I've been with someone for the longest time. Alsace is a small region, that while is well off, wouldn't make it as its own country. Besides, its not all that bad being a region with France, I still get to see Deutschland when I have time to, though he has been busy too.
Hmm, well, that's not good. Hopefully that stops soon. Is anyone doing anything about it? Happy New year to you too. Sorry for the late response, I was busy.
