Dad,
...you get way too proud of those stickehs, ya know? 'S like a little kid. Maybe that's how they should get ya to do your work, promise you stickehs an' give you a toy or somethin' afteh ya get enough stickehs.
Bob, you're gonna have to accept it an' continue on with things, I think. Good luck.
Love, Emily

Em,
Hmph, if ya want ta meet her anytime soon, I'm sure it'd be okay with her. I'd love ya ta meet her.
Is it nice over there? I have the beaches on Lake Michigan, but other than that not much water. Just corn... Hmmm? Oh, yeah. I kinda just landed in Florida, then it's off to Alsace.
Defintely, considerin' how much he actually had. I guess Alfred's grown on us. That is something to think of... Then again, Uncle Matt was also a colony of Arthur's for a while, too.

Dan,
If I have the time I'd like to...I'll let ya know, alright?
Yeah, it's nice here. Got beaches along the coast and up the bay, along with a few lakes and ponds scattered around. Have fun over there.
...Lots of states like France is a very scary thought, it's a good thing other parents and Dad helped keep that from happening. Yeah, but by the time Uncle Arthur got Uncle Matt, Uncle Matt was already quiet and sorta invisible. Dad was already really loud an' an attention hog by then, so I don' think Uncle Arthur had as much of an influence on him. Maybe he was influenced more by the Nordics? They probably would have found him before the Europeans...

Dad,
Ahright, ahright. I'll leave ya alone about th'stickehs. for now I know you can, but you gotta admit it would make work more fun if they did it.
Hey, uh, have you heard from Anya? She called me when she reached Washington State and said she'd let me know when Eli picked her up, but I haven't heard from her and it's been a few days. I tried calling her and Eli a few hours after she called me...nobody picked up so I left messages and haven't heard back. I know Anya has her shovel and can usually take care of herself, but I'm worried.

Em,
That sounds good, get back ta me about it when ya can. I'll let you know when we get back into the states, that is, after I leave Florida.
It must be amazing on the bays. I'd definitely like to come visit sometime, maybe to visit some of yer bays and all. I have the Mississippi river too, which is major fer transportation.
Aye, yeah, no doubt that it would be a problem. Gotta keep somethin' like that disaster from happenin'. Heh.
In that case, it's a good thing that he stayed quiet. Try ta keep France from noticing him and freakin' him out anymore, huh. I guess Arthur really didn't have much of an impact on anyone then. That makes more sense ta me. I do believe that the Nordics did find Dad first, right?

Dan,
It is...I love the water. Feel free, I'll show you around a bit.
Maybe. Uncle Arthur's food certainly made an impact...I don't mind traditional English food, but someone else has to make it. He has no talent for cooking at all. ...I think they found him and then Uncle Arthur claimed him. Something like that, anyway. Have to ask Dad to be sure.

TJ,
Hey! Yeah, I think Dad's birthday was the last time we've talked...definitely the last time I saw you.
I've been doing well. Weather's good, nothing major going on...well, excluding that atheist group targeting the monument to veterans that has a cross on it, but the people in the area seem to be taking care of that nicely. How have you been?
My birthday party this year? I know Dad will have had it planned out for a while, but probably won't remember to send out invites until the last minute. Really, my birthday isn't for another two weeks, he doesn't need to put this much effort into it.

Dear Emily,
That is what I thought... Such a shame, really, I honestly prefer your company over most of the other siblings that have been pestering me...
Good, very good. The weather has been spectacular, hasn't it? A bit of rain here and a bit warmer than usual but still great. Perfect for the corn, really... That sounds really irksome, I hope that your people take care of it quickly. Nothing here has happened except for an apparent double murder-homicide in the next town down. Rather upsetting, I knew the family personally. There's not a lot of information though, so that's all I know. Father has been pestering me with letters, apparently the government thinks us states are part of its "property" because I found two agents breaking into my house and bugging it, fucking bastards... But otherwise life it the same as usual. I have a new litter of kittens in the barn, the peach and cream one is particularly adorable.
Yes... I was rather hoping that you could... Keep our siblings from watching baseball this year. You see... Elena's team is playing Alexis's and while the teams don't have a rivalry the girls do, and I don't want to end up in the hospital like I had last year, at th last game between Elena and Massachusetts. So... Yeah... Please?
Sincerely, TJ

TJ,
Thanks, I guess.
It has~. I gotta find out when that farm stand is setting up again...
This is one of those groups that targets smaller towns that don't have a lot of money for the legal battle so they can have an easy win an' then go an' be all "Look at all the court cases we've won" when they take on bigger ones. If all goes well the joke'll on them this time - people've started doin' things to support keepin' the monument as it is an' all money made is being put in a fund for the legal battle. There have even been people from Massachusetts comin' for some of the things they're sellin' for it, it's kinda awesome. Good luck to whoever is investigating that, then.
One of the nice things about havin' somehow inherited Uncle Matt's invisibility, the Government doesn't tend to remember me, an' when they do they can't find me. Last time they tried anything on me was....back in the forties, I think. I've heard they go nuts tryin' to find me 'cause they figure it's such a small state I shouldn't be that hard to pick out. They don't realize that it's because it's such a small state that it's easier for me to hide - even at state lines I'm not that far from my capital if I'm needed, so I spend a lot more time livin' in other parts of the state than I do livin' in the capital. Aw, the kittens sound cute.
I'll try, but you know how much Dad can have going at these. Try an' stay away from any room with a TV in it, that's what I'm plannin' on doin'.

She's with me right now, poor kid... Things... things with Eli didn't go well because he's in a bit of a rough patch right now. He's not seeing anyone right now and he's stopped writing. Don't worry Emily, I've got her and I'm taking care of her. Love, Dad

Dad,
True...
Yeah, I wrote her and she wrote back sayin' she's with you. Flower thinks she did something wrong to cause it, hopefully my answer helps her stop thinking that. I know you'll take good care of her. She wants me to come visit, so I'll be coming over as soon as I can get time.

Dan,
If I remembeh right, while otheh states have more shoreline than me, I have more when it's compared to the total land of the state. You're welcome!
Dan, I was one of Uncle Arthur's colonies. Done right it can actually be pretty good. Some time when they have the world meeting I should give Dad a bag of scones I made for him to offer to Uncle Arthur. See if anyone dares try them, after knowing what the ones Uncle makes are like.
