Not sure if I want to post this on FF... I have one that I did post, but will not post on this site due to certain things, but I'm not sure whether to post this for the Halloween thing...
Wrote this on the train when coming back from work, and it was basically my whole experience XD Only 800 words~. But made more dramtic and with suspense XDXD Frekin heck it was so darn cold....
----
Cold... Cold.. It was so cold... Why was he in such an icy state? He couldn’t remember.. He could only feel the freezing fingers of cold cup his face and embrace him.
His teeth was chattering now, though surprisingly, he could still feel his hands and his nails were not blue.. They were not a healthy shade of pink... But they were not blue... That was a good sign right..? That his fingers were still with him? He shivered even more.
He had heard that the cold would prompt you to fall asleep.. It will kill you gently in it's icy arms of slumber. It will make you sluggish and slowly succumb.
He just felt like vomiting. Maybe it was the cold. Maybe it was the food he just ate. Some disgusting combination of sushi and weird.... It smelled nice, yes it did, reminding him of the tacos of Mexico, and some delicious smell of he forgot what.. But it settled in his stomach like rocks. Ice cold rocks that he just wanted to dispel. But for that short time, he was warm in this cold cold, cold place. The sushi was warm and warmed his stomach... Before settling like poison. He felt dizzy. He wanted to throw up. He didn’t even get to eat half the plate. That was how fast the warmth deserted him and the lumps of food weighed down in his stomach.
He packed the food away, gulping down the feeling of nausea. It would not do to throw away the food while they still could see. They may be offended and if that was the case..
Still he had to keep his head high to prevent himself from retching. He held his stomach. It was protesting softly, but demandingly. He swallowed again.
Perhaps.. He thought.. Perhaps they were just bad..? Surely another type of food could help...? He ordered their oysters.
It was good up until the fourth. Then the nauseous feeling welled up. He blamed the cold now. And the oil. It was much too oily and there was no water... He slurped up the juices of the oyster trying to quench his thirst. It worked to some extent. That was good.
He was still shivering. The warmth of the food completely gone. What could he do now..? They... They gave him a roll. For free. He couldn’t eat anymore from both fear for his taste buds, his stomach and his freezing senses. It was cold food. He packed it away.
His nose was running now. Odd, wasn’t the cold supposed to stop it from having that? Wasn’t that the reason people with the flu was put in an air-conditioned room? He could he wrong of course, he sniffed.
So cold...
He wanted to go home. But the way home was cold still. His shivering jaw was left unlocked so no chattering sounds could be heard, but he could still feel it. He could still feel every tremor.
So... Cold...
He remembered embracing the cold at one point of his life. Saying that he liked cold more then the unbearable heat... He still felt that way actually, but now the cold was not something to be taken lightly.
Eh...? Is wasn’t that cold anymore... He looked around. Light. There was light there then too but...
Ah... It was still so cold... How much had he wasted..? How much had he wasted on such a horrible experience..? Quite a bit. More than he was prepared to actually... But it was still bearable..
He felt poor. Poor and cold, shivering in his seat for the train ride home.. The train was air-conditioned.. So cold... When would he be able to go out of the cold..? Soon, he hoped, as he felt the rocks that he swallowed jump around his stomach. No bile.. No bile.. No bile..
Cold... So, so, so, cold...
Ah, it was nearly his stop.. Hopefully when he stepped out of this ride, things would be back to normal. The temperature would be decent, and the stone slabs would turn to something digestible. He hoped.. He truly hoped..
Three stops left. Decision after decision he made his choice. Colder, colder, colder. He couldn’t help but worry that he was so far in the cold that he would not be able to feel warmth anymore. His joints started to ache. Especially his knee where he fell some time ago...
The cold was seeping into his bones. Slowly freezing him by making it hurt to move. Then again, ot hurt to keep still. It would hurt either way.
Two stops left.
His shivering prevented him from having steady game play. His skill made him continue to press the screen in the usual ways.
Oh, God, he could still taste those lumps of stone. He shivered even more.
One more stop.
Should he get off..? What if it was even worse outside this train? What if there was a blizzard? His decisions made his life so cold he could barely stand it. What if he stepped out and he couldn’t stand it..?
He was almost there. He needed to make a choice. Should he..? He trembled in uncertainty and cold..
He chose. A decision he hoped would not destroy him and leave him in bitter cold. He nodded. He-
