Luddi,
Grazie, Luddi! Ve, you really are too nice to me~ ...Luddi, you can't stop eating even one meal! I had to do that last week when one of Berlusconi's workers had me working on extra paperwork in the Milano office, I don't like doing it and so you can't either! Ve, I can send you food if you'd like, so you don't have to cook for yourself. Or I could come up and cook for you again, like I used to...B-but only if Luddi wants, ve!
I think so too, but I'll work even harder so it comes sooner! I'm sure there are more cuts we can make somewhere... Ve, that could be it, but I don't know why they worry so much about arguing than just working together to fix things. Berlusconi is just making enemies out of everyone and I'm starting to get nervous about it... He's not working to help us anymore... He even said that Italia was a 'shitty country that disgusted him.' I don't know how he keeps getting elected, he's insulted Switzerland's cathedrals, your chancellor, and women in general...They are true, si, as much as it upsets me to admit. He was caught saying it on a police wire-tap... He actually said more, but...
L-Luddi, I don't--I'm just-- Ve... It's not anything important, Luddi. I'm worried about Venezia the future, that's all.
Ve, that's why I feel so bad that my government keeps asking for more... Mi dispiace, Luddi..

Lieber Deutschland,
I'm doing well enough. Try harder. I won't join, so its good you made the better choice to never ask again. If you do, you will be facing a bullet to the head. He does, obviously. I've tried to stop him, otherwise I wouldn't be coming to you. Have you no sense? I'm warning you, because the little idiot does not seem to understand. You tell him I said to stop, or you're both going to die. I tried explaining, but he still won't get it. Its good to hear we have an understanding on that.
Veile Grüße, Schweiz

Lieber Feliciano,
you are welcome. How many times to I have to tell you? I am fine, you don't have to worry. And you don't need to take this trouble either. I like your cooking, but I couldn't possibly accept your offer when you have enough important other work to do. Now that I think about it. Tomorrow is the Tag der deutschen Einheit and I guess Gilbert would like to celebrate. Maybe I will take one day off. Would you like to come over?
Let's just all do our best. Apparently they lived a more or less carefree life and didn't waste much thought on finances, and now that I keep telling them to change their lifestyle they get angry. Somehow I can understand them, but calling me a Nazi just because I try to explain bureaucracy to them is a tad harsh. That is what Berlusconi said? Apparently he is a lot worse than I thought. How can he call his own country "shitty"?! I also wondered why he was elected again, but that is nothing we could meddle in. Anyway, I am sorry that you have so much trouble with your boss. Are you okay?
Feliciano, tell me what is going on right this instant! That is an order! You say it is nothing important, but at the same time worry about the future. That doesn't make sense at all.
That is nothing. You know my big brothers, they always keep grumbling and the crisis is just another excuse for them to do so.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

Lieber Schweiz,
glad to hear that. You surely do not mince matters. I do my best, believe me. Fine, I won't ask again. But I still hope that one day you will change your mind and become part of a unified Europe. That Europe just isn't complete without you. I can tell him again, but he doesn't listen to me any better than to you. You really want to shoot me as well even though I have nothing to do with it? Anyway, I will talk to Feliciano again. We have an understanding on a lot of things, Schweiz. I hoped you would see as well that our relationship finally got better again.
Viele Grüße, Deutschland

Lieber Batu, thank you. I am fine, apart from the recent troubles in the European Union. And how are you? You are already doing Christmas preparations? Oh, it is already October. Time flies. At least you qualified for the rugby world cup. It will soon be 22 years since the Berlin Wall fell. I can't even tell you how I felt when I saw the East the first time. I was sad, depressed, sorry... angry... all at the same time... I don't know how to express this. Even today there are still huge differences between the former west and the former east. We are still in the middle of the process. Ja, I guess Russia also had a lot of work to do. Viele Grüße, Deutschland P.S.: As far as I know only their succeeding models are still produced today. Ludwig: I'm sure your brother knows me too well. After all, the Teutonic Knights were defeated once by my hordes of Mongolian warriors. At least Gilbert should be able to relearn his famous German efficiency virtues, seeing as his factories were in bad condition. Oh yeah, I also forgot the celebrations for the fall of the Berlin Wall. I still remember Gilbert's 'accident' when he blew up a section of the Kazan Kremlin. I literally tried to hunt his butt down, but Vanya beat me to it and tried to 'rebuild' the Wall. Batu P.S.: Also, do you know how to get rid of a polar bear that is trying to munch on your hair? Vanya has that problem.

I'd rather not deal with that, I have much better things to do in my time. Isn't he the main one so attached to you? While hes hugging all over you like a fool, tell him to stop, unless he wants to be hurt. I only blame you because you know him so well, and he's basicaly your pet. It has gotten better. But that doesnt mean I shouldn't carry weapons just in case. You can never be too sure. Viele Grüße, Schweiz

Ludwig,
W-Well, if you say so... B-But I wouldn't mind sending you food, I'm still making too much for me to eat. Ve, they have to mail me the paperwork anyway, it wouldn't be a problem to have them send it to Germany instead of Milano, so I can come up and make some meals for you. Ve? Come up for your Reunification Day? Si, I would like to come up! I'll leave a note for Lovi, I hope he doesn't mind...
Ve, changing their lifestyle might be upsetting and difficult, but calling Luddi a Nazi because of it?? That's really mean, you're not forcing them to do anything, you're just asking them to make some changes while explaining why it would help! Poor Luddi~ I've sent some pasta to make you feel better, I hope it reaches you alright!
I-I don't understand it either! He keeps doing all these terrible things, but he somehow keeps coming back into office... I'm fine though, Luddi. I tried to talk to him about what he's been saying and he kicked me out of the Roma offices until he's out of office, so I won't have see him for a while anyway. I just hope Lovi doesn't get too angry. He has to represent us both in Parliament now and I can't even go to the World Meetings without him to explain what Berlusconi has planned right now.
V-Va bene, Luddi, s-sir! Venezia's sinking rate has tripled in the last century and with the ocean levels rising it's going to be underwater by 2050! I-I'm just worried, I don't know what will happen to me if Venezia sinks~ B-But it's really not that important, I'm sure e-everything will be fine so please don't worry about it, Luddi! I-I told you, please don't yell at me~

Liebe Sicily, nice to meet you. I am fine, thank you. And how are you? You mean Gilbert? Sometimes I think I have too many big brothers. Gilbert seems to be fine. I am a little worried that he might be plotting something for Monday, the Tag der deutschen Einheit, though. Viele Grüße, Deutschland -- Tag der deutschen Einheit - Day of German Unification Ciao Germany, Nice to meet you also. I'm fine currently. I'm engaged to America now, so I'm happy about that. Si, Gilbert. I'm glad he's doing fine. Tell him I said Ciao please. And I hope he doesn't think up anything to wild.... amore, Angel

Lieber Batu,
that may be true. Since that happened a long time before I was born, you will have to excuse my lack of detailed knowledge though. Today it is the 21st anniversary of our unification. East's economy as well as about every other aspect of life has made a lot of progress. Our systems during our long separation were so different that it is no surprise that we can't achieve real equality in West and East within half that time. I am happy and proud of how much we reached by now though.
A polar bear? The only polar bears we have over here are kept in a zoo. You could maybe ask Gilbert if he has an idea, since he had a famous zoo bear named Knut a while ago. But I am not sure if he can be of any help in this particular case.
Viele Grüße, Deutschland

Lieber Schweiz,
you keep saying that, yes. But I still don't give up hope. Other EU critic countries like England or Austria have joined in the meantime as well. Italy hasn't been hovering all over me for a long time now. In fact since our argument in the 60ies our relationship has cooled down a lot, although we are still friends. Don't be silly! Italy has never been my pet and never will be. Your mistrust hurts me. I am aware that I have done a lot of things I can never make up for. But I still hoped that by now I was able to prove to the world that I have changed. Every single military mission causes a giant uproar over here, even if it is just a humanitary mission for peacekeeping forces. I can't even remember the last time I touched a weapon. But if you still want to mistrust me, just go ahead.
Viele Grüße, Deutschland

Lieber Feliciano,
now that you mention it, you said earlier that you are not in Rome now. How come that you are forbidden to enter your government building? Na gut, if you say so I guess it is okay to invite you over for a while. In exchange I will try and help you with your paperwork a little. But remember to keep the kitchen clean, ja? I will prepare the guest room for you then. Gilbert apparently wants to celebrate with a firework again, even though I tried to stop him. Your brother, I understand. Please give him my regards.
Don't worry. It is sad to say, but I am used to it. Thank you for the pasta though. It really makes me feel better to know that you still care.
So that is why you are not in Rome now. I am very sorry to hear that, Feliciano. Knowing Romano he will surely get angry, but there is nothing you could do about that now. What has happened has happened. Oh, so Romano will attend the world meetings in future as well? That will surely be... interesting.
That is what you call "nothing"? Feliciano, don't be silly! Is there anything we could do about it? Could you maybe lift it up again with technical facilities or shield it with a giant dike or something? Don't worry too much! Of course it would be horrible if the city sank, but I am sure that you will be fine. You are the personification of northern Italy, not of Venice alone. There's still time left to think about a solution and in case of emergency to evacuate the inhabitants. Entschuldige bitte, I didn't mean to yell at you. I was just worried. I am sorry.
Switzerland wanted me to tell you once again not to run around his lawn, especially not undressed. Please take note of it, since he will probably make use of his weapons next time.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

Liebe Sizilien,
you are fine currently? That doesn't sound too confident. Is there anyting giving reason for concern? Congratulations on your engangement! I didn't have cognizance of your relationship with America. I will make sure to tell him. Thank you. Knowing him, if he is thinking something up it will surely be something wild. *sigh*

Luddi,
Grazie, Luddi, but you don't have help me! I've been getting all of my paperwork done all by my self! Oooh, fireworks? I haven't played with fireworks in a long time, can I help him??
Even if we argued a bit, Luddi, I'll always care about you! You're my friend, miglore amico!
...I'm not allowed in the Roma government building because I... attacked Berlusconi. I-I was just trying to talk to him about not insulting people anymore, and maybe resigning from office instead of having the people or Parliament impeaching him, and he just started yelling at me, and I felt all of my peoples' rage and then...he was on the floor and security was restraining me. Ve, I didn't mean to, Luddi! He just wouldn't stop insulting the people, and then he called Lovi a coward for not talking to him and sending me instead, a-and I just lost control... I do hope he's not too mad, I really didn't talk to Berlusconi so this could happen. W-Well, he need to go, otherwise I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing if we can actually get some work done.
Ve, they have an idea about building a series of dams to regulate the water-flow, but it would turn Venezia into a stagnant pool of unmoving water. M-Mi dispiace Luddi, I-I just can't help it...Venezia è il mio cuore, non posso vivere senza di essa, giusto? I-It's alright, Luddi, but you don't have to worry~ I'm sure I can live through this! I've lived through Artù's cooking before!
C-Che cosa?? B-But I don't remember doing that, I haven't been out of Italia for months! Ve, all of this thinking is making my brain hurt~

Lieber Feliciano,
are you sure? Good, all the better if you get them done yourself. You can feel free to ask for my assistance anytime though. Actually I put a ban on fireworks, since Gilbert tried to shoot them off drunk last year and caused an awful mess. But knowing him I am sure that he won't listen unfortuantely. Play? They are no toys, Feliciano! You have to throw them away immediately or you can hurt yourself and others terribly with the rockets. You do remember that incident with the grenade, don't you? So better let Gilbert or me shoot them off.
Thank you, Feliciano. That is very nice to hear coming from you. Y-you are also the one I consider my best friend after all. *cough*
You did what? Oh dear... Feliciano, you can't just hit your boss. Okay, I guess I can see why you felt the urge to do so, and I know that we sometimes need a lot of self-control not to punch them and looking back I wished I had punched one or two of my former bosses as well, but they are still our peoples' elected representatives. As nations it is part of our duty to treat them with the appropriate respect. I need to mention that I can't approve of your behaviour, even if I can understand you. It is fine. Romano will accomplish his tasks and hopefully he will even grow with the responsibility. I just hope that he pays attention to his vocabulary a little during meetings.
So your people are already working to find a solution, that is good to hear. It is okay, Feliciano. Don't worry, everybody is doing their best to preserve the city in its current state. I bet they will come up with a plan within the time stated. *sigh* Now I finally know what occupied your thoughts so much lately. All along I had the feeling that it couldn't be just the fincancial crisis. Let me know if I can help you, okay? You can't compare that to England's cooking, Dummerchen.
It doesn't matter, just play attention not to do it again.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig
