Two sides of the same coin.

Hey all, this is a collaboration piece betweeen Jen and I. This involves my new head Prussia and Jen's russia. This involves a sensititive historical time and we hope not to offend, just to give persepective of how the the two sides possibly felt and reacted. This is going to be journal entries from both Gilbert and Ivan starting from when the Berlin wall went up.

August 13, 1961

Dear journal,

Today is NOT AWESOME.

In previous entries I told you about everything that has happened. The Free State of Prussia is no more. Those “Ally” Dummköpfe think it is best to separate me from my bruder by a wall. The Berlin wall. Its supposed to prevent the spread of fascist ideas, but as far as I see it, they are trying to keep me away from Lutz. They don’t realize how much more damage this will do to him. I must stay strong so he will be strong. That Russian Scheißkerl will be here soon to take me to his place, then they will close the wall. I will not die over there like everyone expects me to, the awesome me will never die…. I’ll show them all and become stronger than ever through this hardship. I will see my bruder again, I will get my revenge on them all.

Уважаемый журнал,

Of course, I am only following what my bosses are telling me to do, it is something I can not refuse, but it is not something I would like to refuse either~ There have been years and years of the spread of our control and watching all of the other countries become weakened, and it has lead to this point. I hope both sides of the nemetsky state have been paying close attention to what is being constructed between them, tearing them apart so they can fall like the rest, the wall that they were all told and hopelessly believed would not be erected. There will be those of Westerners that will try to intervene, and there will be duraki who try and escape, and that will be the last thing they will find themselves doing. I am thinking... If anyone finds these writings, then at least they will know the true face of what is going to happen from now on, and there will be no rumors to listen to.

I am to take Prussiya into my care soon, while the rest of them will fret. His brother will be on his own, he is not meant to be receiving any food or supplies, he is not meant to remain strong. But that is not for me to worry about~ It is going to be a long time that Prussiya is with me, he will learn to get over the separation. I have had to before. There will be a lot he will learn.
