Hey has anyone else noticed how every time that something big happens in Libya there is something else that covers it up?

Yeah you guys get rain a lot haha. We typically don't either so this is a freak accident. The West coast is another story. No one was expecting this at all! Actually, there isn't as much rain as there used to be... So, is the damage bad? Must have been a total shock for everyone. And yeah, I noticed that.

I hear it rains a lot there, like Washington State. There has been some damage around the epicenter and places like NYC. Like I said before: it was one of those times where everyone went

Like I said before: it was one of those times where everyone went Think about it this way, it doesn't rain 24 hours every single day. In fact, there was a "drought" not so long ago. Nobody could use their hoses and stuff like that... I can totally understand why people would do that! ^^ I think everyone would.

I meant throughout the week but that gave me a good idea anyway. Well just imagine a earthquake hitting the UK and picture how people would act to give you a idea what it's like here right now. Obama is apparently going to speak about it on TV today.

Yeah, I have a feeling it's very much, "PANIC STATIONS EVERYBODY~!" at the moment over there. I wonder what Obama will say... "Keep calm and carry on"? That sort of sounds like something our PM would say.

I'm not really sure what he could say. It's not like it is needed or anything. Haha now we have a hurricane to worry about again. Is it on the news there, or is it just here? I would think Libya would be one though.

Yeah... I have a feeling we'd be more like "Oh my gosh! We must save our tea~!" over here. Not that it's a terrorist attack. I looked on the BBC website, it's there but it's not even the top story on the US section. Libya has been replaced by students finding out their results so they know if they got into uni *rolls eyes*. I mean, seriously?! Sure, it's important, but I think Libya is more, don't you?

Hurricane, earthquake, we can't win. =_=;; Living over here sucks sometimes I know that Florida apparently gets the most of them. Because the US is so big and holds just about every ecosystem (except Jungle) we get all the storms of the world. Places like tornado ally are the worst for it, but now we are getting them all over. Meanwhile there is the whole concern for ages about "the big one" in CA.

Yeah. But there's a chance we'll be getting some up here too. We had a tornado warning here in NY the other day...

Oh you Brits and your tea xD Wow I am surprised! It's news all over here. Yeah I mean Libya is way more important by far! Even above this earthquake I think. We keep going back and forth between stories but I think that the earthquake is covering the news more. It's kind of for obvious reasons but... poor Libya never gets their spot light does it? And this is probably one of those points in History that will go in the textbooks.

Yeah. But there's a chance we'll be getting some up here too. We had a tornado warning here in NY the other day... The tornadoes just started to pop up out of nowhere (about a year or two ago?) when we usually don't have them. Actually it was rare but now it's like we are getting them regularly. I have a feeling that this isn't global warming.
