I-I'm Washington eh!!
____
Written by: Ezekiel, very sloppily, very rushed.
Characters: Washington, Washington D.C, other states, America

God, why, why did they have to arrive at the same time!? It just made things worse.
"Hey there guys!"
A voice rung obnoxiously close to Elijah's ear, making him duck his head in slight annoyance. It was bad enough that the capital always drew attention to him whenever he was mentioned. 'Have you been to Washington before?' they would ask, making him happy that they had remembered his state, and the other person would quickly respond 'Well, yea, duh, who hasn't! The white house is really awesome!'
Washington wasn't even D.C's name! And "District of Columbia" was Elijah's name first!
Elijah suddenly felt a bitter knot in his stomach as he stepped in.
"Hey Washington!"
He looked up from his silent glare at the ground. "Oh, h-"
"What's up!" D.C smacked a state's hand in a high five, grinning widely. Before he knew it, there was a small crowd going "Washington, hey!" and lining around to give the loud capital pats on the backs.
"Hey, Washington, there you are!" Elijah started. Was this person talking to him? (His greetings to everyone had not been heard over the loudness of the crowd, and he had slunk into a far corner of the room)
Elijah gulped, not wanting to blow the chance to greet someone. "H-hello.." His eyes looked up to meet his fathers. Oh, of course he would recognize him! He smiled gratefully.
"Man, I was lookin' all over for ya! What's with Obama huh? I thought I told ya to talk to him, and he comes back tellin' me you had pissed him off again, you little troublemaker." Alfred's voice was stern as he looked down at who he thought was capital.
Elijah's face fell, blushing in shame that didn't even belong to him. Why'd his father's stern voice had to make him so upset...? "Father, that isn't-I'm Washington but- I'm-My name is-"
Alfred rolled his eyes. "I know perfectly well who ya are, Cody, gods I'm you're dad! I love you very, very much, you know, but you really need to stop making yourself look like a jerk, okay!"
He didn't like having to sound so mean to any of his kids, but still.
Elijah ducked his head lower, frowning gently in confusion and sadness. He didn't look that much like his twin, did he...? he did part his hair differently... he even held himself differently..."B-but I'm not C-c-cody!" he whined. Not even the love was adressed to him, Washington (not D.C)- that love was directly toward the capital, not him.
"Suuure you aren't. Come on kid, I mean, like, even I had to face responsibilities as kid!"
"Y-yes, father, sir..."
"Good! And about your work efforts, man don't even get me started on-"
"DADDY!"
Nevada had approached from where he had been on the other side of the room, patting a hand on Elijah's shoulder. Oregon and California were close behind him, the group for a second unable to see Elijah as he blended into the crowd.
California rolled her eyes at America. "This is Elijah, papa. I can't believe you couldn't tell..."
"Yeah, I mean come on, daddy, how could you not see it!" Nevada huffed, giving his brother a sideways hug.
"Elijah, I told you if you hung around Canada so much, his invisibility was gonna wear off on you!" Ethan was completely serious, his face contorted in a worried expression. "What if I never see you again because you suddenly vanished!!"
America watched on, completely embarrassed and ashamed. "Uh-uh, sorry Eli.." He smiled and brought him into a hug, the teen stuttering quietly, unsure what to say.
Just then, D.C joined the group.
"Oh! Elijah! Hey there, I didn't see ya on my way in!"(We walked in side by side...") He grinned. "Here, I have something for ya!"
Elijah looked at him curiously, face still flushed with embarrasment. "huh..?"
"This~!"
There was a loud smack and Elijah let out a tiny 'yip!' as something hit his forehead.
"e-eh!? What did you-"
The others stared at the mark on his forehead, Alexis even stifling a giggle. She pulled out her tiny compact mirrors, with Nevada hiding his face in her shoulder, shaking in what look strangley like a giggle fit.
"W-what...? EH!?" Elijah looked at his forehead, a bright stamp of D.C's seal on his forehead, the words around it saying "property of Cody Jones, Washington, D.C"
---------------
Random idea that came to me that Elijah was the Canada to D.C's America.
Washington: Belongs to my brother Elijah
Nevada: Belongs to my brother's friend, Riley
Oregon: Belongs to me, Ezekiel
D.C: Made soley for the prupose of this fanfiction
California: Belongs to Alex
