To whom ever this may concern,
Hello my friend, be you new acquaintance or old rival, I, Florence, am now excepting letters. Feel free to ask (most) any question, and I will do my best to give you a straight foreword answer, but who ever liked those anyway?
I hope to get to know all of you soon,
Lorenzo Vargas, Firenze

It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Washington (the state not the capitol..), Elijah Jones. I hope we can become acquaintances. How have you been lately?

Ciao Elijah,
Si, I have heard of you. I have been doing fine, stock-wise things could be better, but I'm sure you've heard enough of that considering how you and the rest of the US states are. But other than that not much has changed here. How have you been?

Hola Señor Sombra,
I've been wanting to talk with you, but we seem to keep getting interrupted or otherwise distracted. And then I found your address and so I thought I would send you a letter and see if maybe we could just... um... visit sometime? I'd like to be able to talk to you again, perhaps without so many interruptions...

Bongiorno Carina,
Si, it seems our conversations tend to be cut short quite often. Mi dispiace if they're stoping was my fault. But of course, I enjoy talking to sane people, there are not enough of them in this mad world. So then, how have you been?

Señor Sombra,
Yeah... It's ok thing like that happen sometimes. I do too, I mean it's been really nice to spend time with Joseph and Alexis and Eli, and I love my sister Dorothy, but they're all a bit insane.... You know I just now realized how many of the people I've been spending time with I think are insane....
I've been doing pretty well. Just been having some moments of too much thinking lately. I have to stop it before I worry people... How have you been? You seem to be getting a lot of phone calls, are things all right where you are?

Carina,
Si, spending time with family is always (usually) pleasant, no matter if they are a... tad bit insane... But I guess being immortal does have it's cognitive disadvantages.. like insanity for example. Though I've been told that all the best people are never sane, so as they have better ideas, so says my brother at least.
That is good, even if you find yourself thinking to much. I have been well, a bit hectic I will admit, and stressful, but nothing I haven't felt with before. Ve, I have been getting to many phone calls, mostly from my brother; it seems he can't get some things under control.

Señor Sombra,
It is, although it can get noisy and crazy fast over here because you've got the fifty of us states just for a start. Yeah, insanity seems to be common, but I guess it's not always bad. Well... so long as you can keep it under control sometimes. Your brother's probably right. I think a lot of the people who invent new things or create great works were, at least to others perceptions, a bit crazy.
I'm glad you are doing well. Even if you are used to it I hope that things will calm down a bit for you use. It's still a strain after all and that can be hard on anyone regardless how used to it they are. It sounds like your brother relies on you a lot. He must think highly of your ability to handle things. I hope it's nothing too bad 'though.

Carina,
Fifty seems like quite a number, quite larger than what we have in Italia. I guess though after living through what everyone has who wouldn't go a little mad? Ve, sadly most are not noted until after their departure though, quite unfortunate. Grazie, I'm certain things will soon- you needn't worry signora. My brother has a head for such situations but doesn't believe he does, so he tends to follow those he trusts like a shadow. And it's nothing bad really, grazie for your troubles.

Señor Sombra,
It is a big number. I guess dad was just ambitious... or maybe it's just a sign of his insanity. That's true. It's really a shame, so many people who did great things and who never got to see how much their contributions were appreciated. Sometimes I hope that from whatever's beyond that they can see it now.
I'll try not to worry about it then. Maybe you should try to make him handle them, or say how he would have handled them before you step in then? It might help to build his confidence in his decisions. Sounds like there are two shadow men in your family then. *laughs* I'm glad it's nothing too bad.

Carina,
Ah... obviously. I see now. you think? Si, and you never know if someone you know or yourself even will ever be noticed, and by the time they are it's already too late.. But yes, I agree.
Va bene. Trust me signora, I have tried many times to get my brother to stop, so far I have been only successful in getting him annoyed at me and denying that he does such things. Shadow men, si, I suppose you are correct in your assumptions.
