Mr. Russia, I-I'm not sure... Ve, si, our bosses, well, my previous boss and yours were very close, we used to see each other quite often. I've just been so busy with work and trying to keep up with the letters that others sent me that I forgot to send one to you myself. I'm sorry, Mr. Russia~ S-Si, that's actually really close to how I feel~ Ve, grazie for understanding, Mr. Russia! I-I'll do my best to keep them from shaking, I promise~ Ve, here, with the letter should be a package of them. Though I think you should postpone your trip for a while, the weather here has been awful, we've already had 40 deaths this past week from the cold and snow, and Lovi's caught hypothermia. I know it won't be as cold as you're used to but if you're wanting to come somewhere warm Italia isn't the place right now... Italia Veneziano Feliciano Vargas Feliciano, I understand completely. The thing that primarily bothers me is that we can't be around each other very much because of all the current economic and political issues going on in the world. Just like the Great Depression throughout the world in the 1930's, I'm afraid that many of us nations will be gravely affected by the current turn of events. Not to mention all of these problems such as revolutions and natural disasters. Though I know the theory from the Mayans must be false, I cannot help but think that maybe everyone is reacting negatively that something has been happening and will happen very soon. Take as much time as you need; your anxiety is not hurting anyone. Yes, I saw the package with this letter. Thank you very much for all the flowers! They really brightened my day! Really? The weather is that bad? I'm so sorry about you and your brother, though he and I were never very close. Why is he so afraid of me and you're not? Are the differences between the two of you that distinct? I hope the weather improves for you both. Dosvidannia, Russia

Mr. Russia,
Ve, I'm still really sorry, and you're right. Most of Europe is hit by this recession, some of us a lot worse than others. Ve, the theory from the Mayans...? Do you mean the one where they predicted the world was going to end at the end of this year? ......People actually believe that, ve? Really?
Oh, it's really no problem, Mr. Russia~ I have lots of flower seeds lying about that I haven't planted, so I'm always willing to share them with a fellow gardener!
Si, the weather is that bad... It doesn't help that the gas prices are going up, so we're having a hard time keeping buildings heated... Death tolls gone up again, ten in less than two days... Veeeee, I hope that Lovi gets better soon... Um...I'm not sure, ve. I know I used to be afraid of you two, but I'm used to going to meetings and stuff when Lovi doesn't want to, so when we'd meet and I got to know you, I just...stopped getting scared so often. And si, our cultures are as distinct as our personalities! That's why there's two of us even though we're one country~
I hope it does too, ve... But the cold snap is affecting most of Europe, so I hope everyone's winters get better soon...

But the cold snap is affecting most of Europe, so I hope everyone's winters get better soon... Italia Veneziano Feliciano Vargas Feliciano, Indeed. All we can hope for is that the economic collapse will soon come to a halt, and then we can resume life as we once did, happy and unafraid of what the next day may bring forth. Yes, people believe that prediction by the Mayans. Although they have been correct with everything else, I don't think that we should all give up just because of a rumor. They were human, and all humans make mistakes. Even we make mistakes, and we're hardly human. Why don't you plant them? You can never have too many flowers; they brighten the average day and make you smile no matter what. They can melt a frozen heart and make a rock crack. See, that is a representation of why people are so convinced that the Day of Reckoning is nearly upon us. Why else would so many calamities happen at one time? It kind of reminds me of what most people think killed the dinosaurs; natural disasters that destroyed the world and forced all living things to start over. Maybe it's true (I don't particularly believe in it, but one must keep their mind open), simply because science points to the concept that history in all forms will repeat itself if certain conditions are met. Mr. Russia,
Ve, that's also very true. At least things seem to be slowing down, economy-wise. ...All of their predictions have been true? Really? I can't believe that, only Dio knows how things are going to end, why, and what will happen and when it does. I still can't believe people believe such ridiculousness.
Why don't I plant them? Ve, because my flowers replant themselves every year! Plus I've planted them everywhere I can on the grounds, and the flowerbeds on the windows and balconies are all filled with herbs or vegetables, so I just don't have room anymore! But I'm glad to have the seeds because if I can ever find a place to put a flower I can, or I can share them with someone who doesn't have flowers to enjoy.
...Because the weather patterns are changing since the Earth is shifting positions on its axis? I don't know, I still feel that even if this is a rather bad year it doesn't mean the world is ending... It's simply a time of change we have to do our best to adapt to.
...ve, but why are we discussing this? Veeeeee, my brain is starting to hurt~~

Veeeeee, my brain is starting to hurt~~ Italia Veneziano Feliciano Vargas Feliciano, Maybe everything is just coincidence. But yes, all of their predictions have been true. Again, I do not agree with the calculations and different ideas on when the planet is going to end. The world has a way of sustaining as much as it can. The worst that will happen is that there may be a war. While I don't want a war and for thousands, even millions, of people to die, I feel like that would be better kept than a huge calamity. Your garden is that healthy that you have full crop every year? Your land must be incredibly fertile, like the Middle East back in ancient times. Thank you for thinking of me, though! Humans just want something to think of. They've had conspiracies and theories about when the world will end since the beginning of civilization. It's at these points that I think religion and personal beliefs are clashing a bit much. People need to just live for the day, not because they think they're all going to die soon. Maybe that's just my opinion. Dosvidannia, Russia

Hey, Vanya:
I just came back from my self-imposed vacation and I'm quite surprised our old boss is coming back as President. Although I'm having trouble trying to deal with the protesters who are trying to flock into Red Square, and Amerika being the self-centered ass he is, is complaining that we're not letting them protest. As if we want to have a similar revolution in Katya's house which brought in that Yushchenko guy instead of our favorite Ukrainian boss-err...friend, Viktor Yanukovych. On the other hand, Russky Island should be prepared for the APEC summit as Kitay would definitely be there.
Batu
P.S.: I found a storybook about you when you were little.

Meile, Toris Toris, Listen, I don't feel up to dealing with sugar-coating what I think at this point. I am quite ill and people keep informing me that I have letters to respond to. As though I don't have a life or responsibilities other than responding to letters where people randomly make up things to try and instigate a fight from me. ...Never mind. Sorry for ranting. It's just, I'm sick of that. If I feel like I need to take a break and stop writing, I'll tell everyone. Doesn't that make sense? Constantly getting reminders because somebody else wants to become the ambassador via letter-writing for my land is ridiculous. If you wanted it that bad, you could have done it before I became interested in this. Or am I the crazy one? My life comes before responding to people nowadays. Especially with the economy tanking and the constant reminders that America is getting a new president as of this year. Who cares whether Barack or Mitt will become president? Apparently, I do. Because either one of them might mess up things. I'm glad you feel like part of the family, and sorry for not talking to you as much as I could. Dosvidannia, Russia

So, how ya been? All my loving, Christopher Jones Christopher, Hello, there! It's nice to get a new letter. Definitely brightens my mood (which has been quite down, no thanks to my own life for remedying things). Perhaps we could become closer? Just because your father doesn't approve of me or anyone else for that matter that isn't just like him doesn't mean that we can't become friends, right? Or am I just...talking nonsense? I don't want to keep calling myself crazy, though it seems like I've been doing a lot of that. I've been well, aside from the problems the world has been in lately and the stress of people constantly reminding me that, hey, there are letters cluttering my home at this point. I'm sure you people can wait, though. Mail isn't as fast as it used to be, with the Internet taking over and everything. Did you hear that the U.S. Postal Service may be shutting down soon? Technology ruins everything, I suppose. Dosvidannia, Russia

Damn I need a drink. -Czech Republic Hello there! I am simply refusing to call people by their "official names" at this point, meaning that I have nothing to call you. Would it be possible for you to include a more...casual name in your letters? Sorry if this sounds abrasive or rude, but I dislike receiving mail via my official name when hundreds of people (really just a few, I'm being rather melodramatic at the present moment) can read it. Unlike some others, I dislike being formally known all the time in my own home. Sort of like how celebrities try to stay indoors when they're famed, I suppose. That's the best way I can describe it, unfortunately. I do remember you, though vaguely. Present events are beginning to take over my memory banks, I suppose. It's good to hear from you again!
