I said something like if there was an earthquake in UK, we'd all be rushing around to save our tea.

Good Ol' Iowa in the US of A. Awesome place if you don't mind hot summers, cold winters, and lots of corn, cows, beans, and pigs. XD

And here I thought no one lived out in the Midwest (well not exactly there but close)! PA here, lots of New Yorkers and people form New Jersey. I swear there is more of them in PA than Pennsylvania!

Why are there always so many Americans online? Because it was in the middle of the night over here in Europe? xD I support beer (*switch to ooc mode*) coffee. But I like tea as well. Right now it's too hot for either though, if you ask me. Over here in Germany Lybia is the top talking point everywhere. Then there are the riots in Berlin (hooligans setting cars on fire since nine nights), the Euro financial crisis of course, and two (maybe) kidnapped Germans in Afghanistan. The earthquake was in the news as well, but not really particularised. ... Oh, and we still have Yvonne, the fugitive cow... *headdesk*

If it was in the east coast than it would have been around 2 am that this was up. In the west it would have only been 11 pm so... Wow what is with all the Europeans (there is only two so far?) liking coffee and the Americans liking tea more? The stereotypes are all messed up on this one! Well not Libya is back on the top page next to the earthquake that is. We have been watching our own economy as well as Europe while everyone shakes their head. Apparently reporters are crazy enough to go into areas under fire in Libya for the story... people are crazy nowadays. ... The fugitive cow??? Am I reading this correctly? It's not a typo or anything right??? It must have been a slow news day(from everything else... I don't think so but okay...)

Well, even in Europe there are coffee-areas and tea-areas. Here in Germany we drink both, but probably a little more coffee (when we don't drink beer that is... just kidding). Up in Scandinavia they're completely into coffee, whereas e.g. in Poland everybody prefers tea. *shruggs* Yes, I agree. There must be some pretty crazy reporters risking their lifes for a sensational story/ photo. It's true unfortunately... Before there were some more interesting things to report, our news were full of Yvonne. It's a dairy cow that escaped from her field in May and is hiding in a forest ever since. No one could catch her yet. By now she has even fan clubs... and a wikipedia article! I am shocked! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvonne_(cow)Luckily the media have more interesting things to report now and the Yvonne-headlines disappear... Damn, now you must think we're nuts over here. xD

Where pretty mixed in the US but it seems like more people are saying they like tea as you can see. Makes you wonder how much they must pay them to do that kind of stuff... Oh my god it IS a slow news day there. Do you know if it is local or national? Nah your not nuts. You guys are far from nuts... now stuff like this happens around where I live because old people get lonely... www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/05/jean-stevens-wyalusing-wi_n_635588.html I laughed so hard when I heard about it just because everyone was making jokes about it right and left.

I swear there is more of them in PA than Pennsylvania! I would think it's because of the time difference. It's pretty late over there right now. I think the time difference between the east coast and England alone is like, 4ish hours, right? It's only noon right now where I'm at, but there it's probably late afternoon, early evening. ...And I can't even resent that fact. I've only ever spoken to one other person from Iowa online before. Or at least, that I found out was from Iowa. I feel so alone~ I've never been that far East. I mean, I've been to DC before, but that was a school trip and we flew, so I don't count it. About the earthquake, apparently it had tremors as far as Chicago, and my college's seismograph in Dubuque, Iowa went off as if we had been hit with a 2.0 earthquake. And wasn't there a 8.0 earthquake in Colorado a few days ago?

Worse! Even some of our neighbour countries reported about Yvonne. >_< We're all nuts... OMG! This article is shocking! Uhm... I wonder if we should maybe open a new "Out of character" thread. This here is not just not "sane" anymore, but also not "letters" at all. ^^; There we could also post things like "Sorry! Bavaria keeps repeating it, but personally I don't hate you, Prussia!". *lol*

*switches back to in-character-mode*
Ja, that's true... When I asked Poland for a coffee he assumed that I was sleepy and when I asked the Nordics for a tea they thought that I was ill.
((True story a friend told me acutally. xD))
