Hello everyone. This is Singapore here. Yes, Singapore and just Singapore. The few of you that know my human name.. Well, you know my human name. Congratulations. Anyway, despite it being near exam period, my boss was thinking of piling more work on me by making me interact with more nations and well, this is now born. Because of that, I shall be writing letters. I dont expect much since nobody really takes notice of me even though they should, but if you do write a letter to me saying you know where I am, that would be appreciated. And no. I am not part of China. Nor am I part of Malaysia. I am me. Singular me and independantly me. I think that should be all for my introduction. It will all be vetted by the Public Cencorship Board so really, there is not much to worry about. I await your letters. Republic of Singapore p.s If my father figure is reading this, well, write to me already! You know who you are! P.p.s, Malaysia, you are unfortunately not allowed here. Unless you pay a fee. (Yup, that's Singapore for you. I know that there is no Malaysia, but it just wouldnt feel right without it. Oh well. Send them in! I'll be waiting!)

Hello California,
I'm fine as per usual. Really, nothing really happens here except work and really, you can get bored of that.
Visiting you? Well.. That would have to be during the holidays and then I'd need a visa and do I need to go through that rapey-scan thing? I might though, once my guardian and bosses deem it okay. You are part of America after all..
Why dont you visit me as well? I can show you around and teach you Singlish!

Hola Singapore,
its too bad you can't do fun things to liven up your day.
You don't need a Visa, when it comes to tickets and stuff, you can put it all on me. R-rapey-scan thing? I'm sick of dad making it harder for me to make new friends or have people over! Ugh- no worries though, if you want to visit, you won't even be anywhere near America! Even if you're in America...
I wouldn't mind learning it, si! Thank you!
love, Cali

Hello California, Well, if its any consolation, I have sweets and chocolate with me. I will never do work without them! I dont? Well that makes it easier for me. But I wont let you be troubled by me. I'll pay for everything. Even the food! Especially the food! Oh.. yeah.. food.. I cant eat a lot of stuff.. You know, catering to all religions.. I'm sure America is trying to protect you. Sure he may be doing it just a lot too much, but hey.. Good intentions right? That.. would be a good thing! Just dont tell him that! Really. I'll get into trouble! And the PCB is looking at me weirdly now.. Well, you could always start now! Its very coloqial language of English and many say it's quite hard.. but I seem to do fine. I mean there is just four different types and they are interchangable and uses languages meshed up from the main four but it should be fine. I hope your ready! I'm making a mini list for you now.. Hola Singapore,
chocolate!? Wow! I have lots of sweets too! Were going to get along wonderfuly! Sometimes they get stuck to my braces, but I'm having them removed soon.
No, no- you'd be a guest, so I wouldn't mind paying for you at all- or we can split the costs, but I can't have you paying for everything~ yes, food... delicious food...
I know he is... but he goes as far as to not want me hanging around with the people he hangs out- he treats my like a kid! He hates for me to see Mexico, which is annoying too. He's very nice, so why not? The PCB..? anyway, he won't be in the state of California when you visit, promise.
Okay, I won't mind getting a list- I'm always glad to try new languages. Sounds a little hard, but I'm sure I can do it.
love, Cali

Hello California,
Yes! Sugar is the best! One cannot live withut sugar! Oh, braces? I never had them before. I heard they were painful.
Guest or not, I really hate it when someone comes over and messes the place and expects me to clean it up for them. That includes monetary wise if I'm feeling poorer than usual. But food.. Veriaty of food... Ugh. I feel hungry..
Well, I guess thats what's good about being your own nation state. I'm relatively in charge, and I do not need to fear about protecting others. Apparently I'm paranoid enough to have my military! But seriously.. Thats important. Really.
Mexico? I know him. Met him once or twice.. We're on good standings I hope. But you know, America can be very paranoid. I just need to look at his history.. I suppose you just need to put up with hm or give him 'The Talk'.
PCB is the censorship board. I am not allowed to write any politically incorrect letters to anybody. And I'm supposed to be fully approving of America. Which I am. Really. And it would be nice if thet happened. Seriously.
The word for now, "lah". In Malay, 'lah' is used to change a verb into a command or to soften its tone, particularly when usage of the verb may seem impolite.
This can, with the appropriate tone, result in a less-brusque declaration and facilitate the flow of conversation. "No more work to do, we go home lah!" However, if the preceding clause is already diminutive or jocular, suffixing it with -lah would be redundant and improper: one would not say "yep lah", "nope lah".
'Lah' with a low tone might indicate impatience. "Eh, hurry up lah." Lah is often used with brusque, short, negative responses. Lah is also used for reassurance. Lah is sometimes use to curse people. Lah can also be used to emphasise items in a spoken list, appearing after each item in the list.
Although lah can appear nearly anywhere, it cannot appear with a yes-no question.
There's others.. but its hard to classify them! Hmm.. This will take a long letter. I'll stop for now.

Hola Singapore,
I know! Sugar is so amazing! Oh, they hurt at first, but they look nice because they come in different colours. I'm not a nation, I'm a state, so I don't heal as fast a nation, but I won't need them on for much longer.
who doesn't hate that, yeesh.. and when you visit, I'll have a banquet of food for you! It seems everyone is feeling a little poorer these days..
I have to protect the states around me too. And it is important...
Yes, I like Mexico, hes fun to be around no matter what anyone says. I know hes paranoid, I think he ruined a few good relations being paranoid.
Oh, I see- sort of the feds. Sounds awful to be so restricted...
So I could say - "Let's hurry to the party lah!" or something like that- it was a long letter, but I learned something which is important to me- thank you!
love, Cali
((I see~ thanks for it!))

Hello California,
Sugar is the best!
Oh.. sounds like it has its good points. I know what you ean about that. I wanted braces too because they were so cute once in my life. But they were not as and when you want to removable, so I didnt.. Oh well.
Thank you! That would be great! But dont tax your wallet on me. It wouldnt be fair. I'm still fine and good thankfully, so I dont feel that poor as a nation.
True.. You never know when someone is going to try and cause trouble.. And must always take preventive measures against them, trust or no.
Really? Oh that kind of sucks. But I can relate. Sometimes you really need to think twice on who you befriend and how you befriend them. Politics.. They make my head hurt.. but their still important.
Feds? What are those? You mean the authorities? Yup. But It's not so bad, considering who and what I am. Tentions can ride high if your not careful. I understand the need.
Sure no problem! And you really have to look at the context, but that was true! You can use it like that! I'll give you the rest another time. Hope you do not mind.
Regards, Republic of Singapore

Hola Singapore,
Yes! And what are your favourite snacks by the way? I love the cheescake New York used to make for me best...
I couldn't help getting them, because I have an overbite, and one of my teeth got knocked out by sister Elly once~ they're a pain, and you can't eat as much as you want when you first get them! But I change the colours every once in a while though, to keep them looking nice.
I seriously dont mind- and it would be alot fairer to pay for my guest, so honest!
Yes, that is very true... I normally try to stay out of anything too serious, but then again, you just never know.. while we're talking about trust though, I can assure you that we will be getting along just fine, and I promise to never do you harm as my own state.
Politics are a mindracking subject, and annoying to think about if you don't have the time for it.
Yeah, like the police. Tentions seem to be rising everywhere these days though..
I don't mind, but thank you again! It's very interesting, I await the rest of the lessons.
love, Alexis

Hello California, My favourite snacks..? ... Everything? You cant expect me to choose! Thats so unfair! To the food! An overbite, I can understand, but why would your teeth get knocked out.. By your sister? She's a state too right? Why..? Nevermind. I dont need to know if you dont tell me. That. Sounds. Horrible. Less food... No.. Poor you, Come over and I will feed you a lot! Then we can go shopping! For stuff and more food! Having prettyness does not mean much if you do not eat.. Most of the times at least.. I can understand the need to look pretty and nice especially for the other nations. Why did you put the honest behind your sentance? Anyway, that would mean I was being a bad guest. I cant do that! The boards would have my head! I must always look as good as possible and never tarnish what reputation I have. I'm glad that you understand where I'm coming from. But.. I think you would know. After all, you sister punched you.. I'm really not sure what to say to that. I hope we will get along fine as well! But please dont promise what you cant keep. You never know in the future what will happen. But I'll think of this as a peace treaty for now then. Lucky you. Politics is my lifesaver. Can you imagine tightrope walking between Taiwan and China? I cant not afford to not forget about politics. Yup. I'm multi-cultured so its very important for me to keep cool. Plus with my siblings around me.. *sigh.. No problem! But I do think it would be easier to just experience it for yourself. Albit with a translator. Republic of Singapore (this letter was edited by the censorship board)

Hola Singapore,
lol I understand what you mean~ so you like all kinds? I myself only dislike coconut.
Yes, an overbite, and I have to have those special rubber bands for them too- oh, yes, New York. We did a number on each other, fighting over who knows what anymore.
Yes, less food because when I first got them, it was hard to chew, things would always get stuck and so forth. And I would have to get cleanings to get all the sweets out! It was terrible! I know that having them pretty doesn't make up for them being somewhat of a burden, but when you first get them, they let you choose which colours you want, and I thougt I might as well get a colour pattern I like, so that I can at least have something positive about them. And I change the colour patterns so they match whatever fashion is out, or I think "I might as well get a new set of pretty colours, while I'm here to get them cleaned"
Saying honest behind is a way for me to get my point across I guess~ and no, you wouldn't be a bad guest! We can always half it too! I'm sorry the boards are so heavy on you... but you're a good person, so it wouldn't be messing up your rep I dont think...
Yes, she punched me. Actually, we gave each other black eyes, I got stabbed in the shoulder, she got stabbed in the stomach, I had a broken leg, fingers, and wrist, she had a broken arm, nose and ribs, I had a cut on the left side of my face, and left scars along Elly's neck- good times~
I'm sure we will, you're such a very nice person! Yes, it is a peace treaty. I will try my very best to stop my government from hurting you - well, not that theyd have a good reason to, just that government is annoying like that most times.
I cant say I could imagine that~ you're a very responsible person arent you? Thats good.
I see- do your siblings give you very many problems? Poor chica!
Okay, I'll try that, and hopefully, by the time I visit you, I'll be up to date on the language!
love, Alexis
P.S. You dont have to call me by my state name, since it isnt bussiness matters chica~

Hello California,
Well, I havent tried anything that I did not like.. Except bugs and those wierd things.. Eergh.. And I'm not really supposed to eat a lot of stuff since I'm wierdly in few different religions. I like coconuts though. They help cool you down.
Special rubber bands? That's.. interesting.. Well, I cant say I have never had my share of sibling rivalry. Especially with Malaysia. Cant stand her sometimes. But what can you do?
It sounds terrible! How did you survive? .. but I guess that helps. Still, I think food has the more important part, though my government would may not agree.
Oh I get it.. Honest. Like that? And I would really not want to be a bad guest. My ears would not take it. Its hard enough because of the culture differences. Apparently I heard you guys dont complain when you are satisfies or happy. You gossip instead or something. I have my share of gossip, but complaining is so much more fun!
The boards are there to protect my image and to help everything be in control. I dont fault them, though I do think they are irritating sometimes.
.. That.. sounds very violent... Er, you know, with everything that is going on today, it might be very hard for me to come over. I apologise about that. I think your stay would be great though.
I really hope we get along well. I hate to make enemies, even though I do know self defence.. Why would your government not like me in the first place..? I have good relations with America, politically and economically. In a sense, socially as well. Perhaps its time to review my relations..
I need to be to survive. My reputation holds much of my weight in the world. I cannot afford to stain it even the slightest bit! Responsible, efficient, logical and other good qualities are a must keep.. I can imagine what would happen if one got dragged down.. I can die very easily..
Yes they do. Unfortunately I cant do much about them. Malaysia tried to spoil my flag for winning her in the football match the chee bye and Indonesia is choking me with herr bloody haze and she wont even accept responsibility nor help, and I really feel like throttleing her sometimes. So yeah, they do give me trouble. Alot of it. And thats not all they have done to me the damn bastards and that only in this year. But I wont go into datail. .. Kena sai lah they all..
Sure no problem. Be sure to ask me if you need any help!

Hola Singapore,
Youve tried bugs, really!? Eh. Im not a fan that much, except for in Tres Leche, than it doesnt taste bad.
yeah, rubber bands you tie to the upper and lower parts of your braces. They can get in the way though. Yes, I believe we all have. Nothing I guess, but keep calm and carry on...
It is pretty terrible, not being able to eat my favourite things over the braces. Ah, my Uncle is annoying, so I know what you mean by well meaning yet irritating governments.
Yeah, you got it! Like saying- "I really did like the party, honest." Well, we gossip, but I dont gossip about other nations, because it could get me into trouble, and it would be unruly for me to. Aha, we do complain alot to, mostly to others about it I think~
Oh, dont worry, that fight was our only big one! But I understand you not being able to make it over
Me either you know. I like being nice to as many people/ nations as I can. I dont see any reason for him (Uncle Sam) to not like you, but I dont know about the future- in case anything bad happens, I refuse to participate in any war against Singapore, and Im going to help you if need be it. Honest, we do like you over here, I meant just in case- trust me, I would not like it if my stupid uncle turned on you! But with nations who live for so long, you can never know in future years- U-uh, but I dont mean to sound suspicious! Agh! Now I soud even more suspicious! Sorrryyy!!
Shoot! But youre doing very well with your reputaion, and we would all miss you if that happened too!
Oh no! Oh Chica, siblings can be the worst at times!
I will!
love, Alexis

Hello California, .. It was a dare! I coulndt lose face in that type of thing! And it was gross! Tres Leche? What's that? Oh I see. And that's true too. Keep calm and carry on, but remember just in case. We dont want it to happen again right? I should be! I cant live withought eating what I like! And I like a lot of food! Chicken rice, Tom yam soup, Nasi Lemak, Pattaya, everything! I need some Wan Ton... Governments can be irritating, but theres nothing you can do. I dont gossip either. Not allowed to, especially in diplomatic situations. Neutal stance on everything if possible. It would be horrible if I got into a fight.. Well complaining is a happy thing! We love complaining. Ususally thats when you know that the person is comfortable enough with you and then we complain together. Its so fun! Especially while we eat! Heheh.. Sorry.. Well my government has an open dorr policy and we would never turn people away. Its just that we can be picky with who to relate to. I dont think I've met Uncle Sam, is he nice? And thank you for your decision to not support wars. Especially with me in it. Thats a very welcomed sentiment. True, we can never tell with the future, but we can always predict. That's important too, the ability to predict and make good and solid judgements with the information. But you dont sound that suspicious, I know what you mean. Its fine! Really. Shoot? No thank you! Guns are illegal! Hehe.. I'm not sure many people would really notice.. And some may just celebrate it for all I know. I'm not exactly important in world affairs you know. True, but still, nothing we can do about it. Republic of Singapore
