Dear Feliciano,
Thank you, and I also think that it is sweet of you too to adopt those cats! I do think that owning a pet is a great experiance, too! As for adopting a puppy you have to realize that owning one is a huge responsabilty and they are way different than owning a cat. They need lots of attention! I would suggest a dog breed trhat is easy to train and easy going... Perhaps you could get some pointers from Ludwig? I am sure that he knows a lot about caring for dogs!
Yours Truely,
Ben

Mr. Luxembourg,
W-Well, I hadn't actually adopted the kittens or the neighborhood cat, technically. They're strays, they simply get fed by everyone in the neighborhood. Though I do really like them all, Cannoli just...always had a special place in my heart. Oh, no, I know that very well! I've petsat for Luddi before, watched over Blackie, Aster, and Berlitz. They're quite cute, though Luddi always gave me grief for spoiling his puppies too much. So don't worry about that! I'm really good at giving puppies attention~ Oh, si, I have spoken to Luddi about this, so I'll do quite well, I'm sure. Even if it just ends up that Luddi trains them more than I do, ve~

Dear Feliciano,
Oh, but anyway it is still quite nice of you to take care of them.
Well I hope that everything goes well for you, if you are getting a puppy. Speaking of pets, I'm actually am about to go over to the pet shop later to help Czechia pick out her first pet!
Yours Truely,
Ben

Uccellino,
Too long, unfortunately. Si, he has, bless him. He seems to be more organized than the rest of us though sometimes trying to control our family is along the lines of difficulty of herding cats or... getting Italians to do what they're told. Ah... so that's where you've been, I hope Munich has been fun for you, when you're finished come back and share your stories, I'm interested. Ah, si, Carina, she hasn't been too distracting, ve, it's nice to have some company now that you are off having your own adventures. Molto buono, ve, ti amo, child. I've been alright, and yourself? How is Munich? I hope everything is bene, you have been dressing warmly, si? The weather there can be quite cold and I'd hate for you to get sick... Ti amo,
Lorenzo

Vene,
It has it's differences, but it's still pretty.
Still, you've spoken it long enough to get at least some of the idioms, that's more than some of my citizens can say. I'm sure that if you started trying to speak German again you'd find you remember more of how to speak it than you think you do. That's how it tends to work with the bits of the various languages I've learned.
Yes you did. I'm sorry I doubted you. That's good.
Well, they should choose to take it on when you need a break then, si? Oh, that bit in my last letter about who wants you to stick around, I realized after sending the letter that I had worded that badly, forgetting to include your family. Angel would be very upset if you weren't around, and the rest of your family would likely be upset as well to lose you. I'm sorry if my wording made it seem like your family doesn't want you around, that wasn't my intention at all.

Carina, Ah, I see... Well, I'm sure that you had plenty of money saved up, or that your government could have footed the cost. After all, spending money is important for the economy, ve. Or at least that's what Alfred keeps telling me, ve. Well...I'm happy that you ended up somewhere safe, Papa's people are usually kind to American tourists. And Papa is very observant when there are other nations in his lands, and he would do so very well with taking care of you. Has he not? ...I-I see... Ve, that's...I-I'd be a bit scared as well, and I can completely understand needing to leave for a little bit to get yourself calm again. Even if he wouldn't, it's still a bit scary to hear something like that being done even though you know it's not true. I'm glad that you're doing better, he would be sad if this had gotten in the way of your relationship with your papa. Si si~ I like to be a little strange, we're just all strange in different ways! ...Ve, Papa has always been one for stealth, it's actually...a bit difficult to notice, even when I you try to pay attention. But he doesn't really get out of the country much, so he doesn't socialize very much and it's hard to notice when it's someone you don't know. Feliciano Feliciano, I - I made sure I could pay for it on my own. I could never ask them to foot the cost for something frivolous like that. Spending money does help, but it's important for the government to save money and not waste it on needless expenses. Si, everyone I ran into before nonno Lorenzo was kind. In the end he found me and asked if I needed any help and neither of us realized the other was a nation at all at first. It was kinda funny really. He's been taking care of me really well if it hadn't been for him I probably would have been sleeping on the streets somewhere. Oui... I couldn't seem to think well at home, but it's no surprise... even 'though it's my state he's the nation and so at home you can always feel his presence which wasn't helping... Si it really freaked me out. I know it would have so I'm glad I had the time to think and to calm down before I did anything more stupid else. Yes we are, but we're all strange in good ways I guess. Si... Although I've gotten a bit better at noticing. It's just like any 'animal' eventually you can pin down certain traits and clues or something... Oui that would make it rather more difficult to notice. I wonder how much he overhears without anyone knowing because he can be unnoticed so easily... It must make for some interesting conversations if he ever lets you know what he's heard. ~Carina

Papà,
It hasn't been too long, don't worry~ Things are fine, Papà, I promise! Ve, we're lucky to have him, though you're right about him having some troubles with the people not wishing to listen... But they will, I'm sure!!
...Papà, I thoug-- Si, si si, Luddi and I are visiting Joseph in Munich~ Well, whenever I decide to go home, I'll be sure to invite Papà up so that I can tell you about it! Though I want Papà to know that this isn't a vacation to shirk work like Papà is making it sound Oh, I'm glad for you, Papà! She's told me you really helped her feel better after her problems with Alfred, so I'm glad you have someone around whose company you enjoy~ since any time I've tried to see you or invited you to come see me you never show up Ve, adventures.... Si! Luddi and Joseph have been showing me around and we've seen all sorts of sights! It's been fun~ I have been well, Papà! Munich is a beautiful city and both Luddi and Joseph have been very good to me. Dressing...warmly? Silly Papà! It's June! I don't need to dress warmly! Maybe not as coolly as I would back home, but certainly not warmly. I won't get sick!

Emilia,
Ve, I'll have to ask Matthew to speak his French for me sometime, see whether there is a difference there...
Well, I am also a lot older than your people as well, more time to learn and remember~ Plus I learned the older way to speak, si? Your people are learning all the new slang that I can't understand, so it's just what you learn to start that sticks, I'd say! Veeee, you say that now, but you never heard me speak German~ It's almost as bad as when Luddi used to try speaking Italian back during the Wars, it was silly-sounding! I probably sounded awful, I can't ever get that...almost gravelly way they speak quite right. But I'll try to learn again, Luddi said he would teach me~
It's fine, ve~ You don't need to apologize~ I just wanted to help you see that it's similar, that's all~
...Well, they hadn't, had they? Ve, maybe it's not that simple though~ They hadn't even been given a choice, after all. I just...kinda fell apart and dropped my work on them. But I'm okay now, so hopefully I'll be able to take it on again soon so they don't have to be worrying about it anymore~ No, no, don't worry about that! I know that mi famiglia loves me and would love for me not to leave! You don't have to worry about your letter! Everything's fine, I know what you meant~

Angelica,
Ve, no apologies, sorellina! THere's nothing to be upset about, si? I understand that if you are busy you don't have time to write, regardless of what Alfred might have told you. Write to me when you want to, and don't feel as if you have to when I know you probably have things you'd rather do, ve~ Anch io ti amo~

Vene,
Sorry I took so long to answer, things happened and...yeah.
For those who don't know the language, they don't sound different, but when you're used to one dialect the other doesn't sound quite right. You've been around France so much, you'll prob'ly notice it.
True. New slang can be hard to keep up with, though I found a way to help myself with that. Every so often I sorta disappear on my bosses an' do a couple years of high-school to try an' learn the new slang. I don't get all of it, but at least I've got some idea of the current slang. Well, you may never get the gravelly sound right, but at least you're trying your best to speak it, si? An' Germany should be a good teacher too.
From what I heard they had just disappeared and dropped their work on you, even if you did take it on willingly, so it's only fair. I'm sure you'll be back to work in no time, if you haven't started already in the time since you wrote.
Ah, ok. Just wanted to make sure you knew, 'cause sometimes I put my foot in it without meaning to 'cause I'll say something without realizing what it might sound like.

Dear Feli,
First of all, I am incredibly sorry that I stopped writing to you. I really hope you can forgive me; I never meant to loose touch but my boss has been giving me so much paper work and.... Never mind.
Anyway, I thought I'd just drop you a line... You're probably busy as well but... How are you?
Much love and luck, Iona
