Liebe Sizilien,
I understand. You are welcome. It surely must be when some nations learn of your engagement before your relationship. I wish you all the best for your shared future. Oh mein Gott! Please no. Last year I already had my hands full with the mess Gilbert caused alone. I don't even want to think about what the three of them could come up with, especially now that France and Spain are a little out of sorts with me anyway.
Viele Grüße, Deutschland

Luddi,
W-Well, can you...help me with the numbers? I'm having problems figuring them all out... Ve, I remember hearing about that, didn't he put a hole in Luddi's wall?? I'm sad I missed it, that explosion would have been amazing~ V-Ve, I know that~ I haven't blown up my fingers yet, I swear! Aw Luddi, but I want to shoot them off too~~
Prego, Luddi~ V-Ve, you do? Yay~ That makes me so happy to hear! Luddi is so nice to me~
I didn't mean tooo~ I-I know you're not supposed to hit your boss, b-but I couldn't help it~ He insulted Lovi and nobody is allowed to do that! I refuse to show someone respect if they call my nation shitty I guess I'll try to see if I can apologize to him... I-I don't need approval, I know it was wrong and I shouldn't have done that... Ve, I can talk to Lovi if you want me to, but I'm not sure if he will by the first meeting...
The problem is that these dams won't do anything about stopping the sinking, and if the ocean keeps rising... Most of the scientists who have been studying Venezia say that the dams won't work at all. I-I know everyone is working hard to save, but I'm scared of dying worried everyone's hard work would just...be for nothing in the end, ve? I-I'm sorry Luddi, I don't mean to get distracted from the economic crisis. I didn't mean to think so selfishly when everyone else is suffering too... Ve, I'll be sure to tell Luddi if I need help, but I don't want you to worry, va bene? I-I'll be fine, honest. I can't? But I thought even Luddi said that England's food was like an edible plague... D-Dummerchen? What does that mean, ve?
I will! Prometto!

Lieber Schweiz, you keep saying that, yes. But I still don't give up hope. Other EU critic countries like England or Austria have joined in the meantime as well. Italy hasn't been hovering all over me for a long time now. In fact since our argument in the 60ies our relationship has cooled down a lot, although we are still friends. Don't be silly! Italy has never been my pet and never will be. Your mistrust hurts me. I am aware that I have done a lot of things I can never make up for. But I still hoped that by now I was able to prove to the world that I have changed. Every single military mission causes a giant uproar over here, even if it is just a humanitary mission for peacekeeping forces. I can't even remember the last time I touched a weapon. But if you still want to mistrust me, just go ahead. Viele Grüße, Deutschland Lieber Deutshland, That doesnt mean I will. I'm not being silly. He has acted like your pet in the past - at least, he has always been half-groping you with his level of hugs. Will you shut up about that? You're supposed to be strong, don't sit here spewing your damn sob story at me, I don't care. Every nation does things they regret, its old, we know already. Are you trying to guilt trip me into feeling bad for you? Get a grip- I was only stating that I could never be to sure becuase plenty of times, world meetings have broken into numeruous minature wars, and I didnt want anyone dragging me along or hurting Liechtenstein. It had nothing to do with your past... I trust you, of all people, so stop mentioning it. Viele Grüße, Schweiz ((Switz sounds mean, but he really does mean well! ))

Lieber Feliciano,
that is no problem. I will help you with the numbers then. Gilbert overdid it a little with the drinking to the Reunification last year. He yelled something about tearing down walls and fired the rockets right at the house. Amazing is clearly not the right word to describe the explosion. I am taking into consideration to let you light one, but only under ward.
N-not at all.
It is all right. As I stated previously, I can understand you. After all I also had the honour of meeting your boss on several occasions. It is astonishing how protective you are when it comes to your brother. I used to think that this normally was a quirk of older siblings. I would appreciate if you talked to him, but I am aware that you won't be able to calm him down either. I guess I will just bring another extra box of headache pills to the next meeting.
I see... Then maybe... No, that wouldn't work. That is really complicated. I hope they will find a way to rescue the city. It is okay, Feliciano. Don't apologize. I understand now that your fear distracted you from the crisis. If I had known earlier I wouldn't have yelled at you for not finishing your work in time. I am sorry for that. I admit that I said that about England's food, but I didn't mean that literally. Moreover you seriously can't compare a disgusting dish to a sinking city. You don't have to know what Dummerchen means, it's extraneous to the subject.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

Lieber Schweiz,
you keep saying that, ja. Italy never behaved like a pet. Unlike him every single dog I owned so far could be taught basic orders like "sitz", "hier" or "aus". But I completely failed with Italy. G-groping? That is what it looked like to you?! Uhm... I am sorry...? Complaining or sounding pathetic wasn't my intention, nor to appeal to your compassion. I was just trying to explain to you that you don't need weapons as protection around me (anymore). You are right, the fights indeed resemble mini wars at times, but I don't want anybody to cross the line and hurt someone seriously. I guess coming from you that must be a huge compliment. Vielen Dank!
Viele Grüße, Deutschland

Luddi,
Grazie~ Lovi tries to explain them but he gets really frustrated if I don't understand. Luddo always knows how to explain things to me so I understand~ Vee, doesn't Gilbert always drink too much during celebrations? I remember him coming over to celebrate Lovi and I's Unification a few years ago and he tried to out-drink Mr. Russia. It must have been amazing Luddi! Using a few fireworks to blow up a wall? Ve, it must have looked so pretty with all the lights... Y-You will?? Yay! I'll make sure not to hurt anyone, I promise! Yay, Luddi is letting me shoot fireworks~
You have met Berlusconi personally?? Ve, I'm so sorry if he said anything rude~ Ve, is it really that strange? He's my big brother and he was willing to Unify with me even though he didn't like me very much~ I would do anything for Lovi! M-Ma I apologize in advance if he starts yelling at everyone at the next meeting, he's been a bit angrier than usual.
Ve, faccio troppo...D-Don't apologize? But I'm being selfish, worrying about myself when everyone is going through hard times too... I-It's fine Luddi, I forgive you~ I know you weren't yelling to be mean, you have a lot to worry about and you need everything done on time. I'll do my best to stay on track and put Venezia out of my mind!
Oh, were you using a--ve, what's the word...metaphor? No, a simile! Were you just using a simile, Luddi? Ve, now I feel silly~ But why can't I? Eating Artu's food made me feel like I was going to die, so isn't it a good comparison, ve? Va bene, if Luddi says I don't need to know~

Lieber Feliciano,
is that true? I admit it surprises me a little that you think my explanations are good. But I will try my best to make you understand your numbers. I can't deny that. Sometimes I wonder if Gilbert likes beer a little too much, but luckily he behaved (more or less) yesterday. He tried to outdrink Russia? Oh my... That must have been a fine mess. No offense, but Gilbert can't even outdrink me, not to mention Russia who is said to have vodka running in his veins. It was not a few fireworks, but a moving carton full of them. The lights were hardly visible within all the smoke and dust. Okay, so you had your fireworks now and you even managed to light some of them by yourself. Did you like them?
Yes, I met Berlusconi occasionly. Don't worry, he is a loudmouth who tends to talk big, but will silence if one darts a glance at him. I guess he doesn't act up uproad like he does in Italy. No, it is not strange in fact. I am just surprised because it is usually the older siblings who are protective of their little siblings. Maybe Romano was not too positive about the unification at first, but he doesn't seem to regret it at all. We are talking about the same Romano here who yelled at me because I dared to talk to you, right?
That is not selfish, Feliciano. You are not whining about burnt pasta here, but you are afraid because your heart might die. That is a serious matter and no one will think badly of you when it occupies your mind. It is okay, really. Of course the papers on the crisis are important as well, but if... if you had told me that you were distracted for that reason I could have helped you with it, or at least given you more time to finish them.
It was sort of a simile, ja. Oh je... That reminds me of that particular meeting when America accused England of producing mass destructive weapons in his kitchen. Seriously, you had a bad stomachache, but I doubt that his food could have killed you. You sure are a gourmet though, aren't you?
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

Luddi,
Si! I'm happy that Lovi is always nice enough to try but then he starts saying how this isn't any different from deciding where to clean money for the Famiglia and then I start getting confused. Davvero? Luddi at least make sure to always say this is for the economy, so I don't get distracted! Is it really so bad that Gilbert likes to drink? Ve, he's always so amusing when he starts to drink and he really likes hugging people, è davvero così male? I'm surprised you don't remember, Ludde, you were there too! I remember because I still have the little wooden calendar you gave me! We didn't talk very much but I remember seeing you sitting at a table with Artù. Si, Mr. Russia won and it was interesting because I think that Mr. Russia was actually a bit drunk! He was a lot more...clingy than usual. V-Ve? A whole carton? That's amazing, did he light them all off at once?? Of course I liked them, Luddi! Fireworks are so pretty and I really like the smell they give off when they blow up! I told you I wouldn't hurt anyone, can I light more next time??
...Davvero?? Even Lovi can't get him to be quiet when he starts complaining! Luddi è incredibile~ Can you teach me how to do that, per favore? Maybe then he won't insult Lovi or the country or anyone else anymore! I'm just glad he's smart enough to be somewhat courteous when outside the country, I don't like him but I don't want him to be attacked just because lui è stupido. Ve, mi sorellina Angelica says that Lovi is just as protective of me as I am of him, and she thinks it's because none of us grew up together. I'm not sure if that makes sense, why would we be protective because of that, ve? I just don't like it when someone insults Lovi. He might be a bit mean sometimes but he always means well! I love him just the way he is so no one should ever tell him he has to change! Si, we are! Lovi is just...more likely to shoot someone than yell at them right now, I don't know why though... He might calm down before the next meeting but I just want to warn Luddi, ve!
...If we can't think of a way to stop the sinking, no matter what protection they have against the ocean Venezia's abandonment and death is a guarantee. That's what really scares me, Luddi. They aren't working on solving the sinking problem, just trying to stop the threat of a sudden flooding or a tsunami of some sort. I-I can already feel more people leaving and it makes my heart ache... But please don't tell anyone Luddi! I don't want anyone to know since there are so many worse things happening to everyone else right now. Lovi doesn't even know, please keep this between us! ...Mi dispiace, Luddi. I-I didn't want to tell you because then Luddi would worry and I don't want Luddi him to worry about something that only affects me since he has too many other things to take care of...I-I can work fine, Luddi, I'll make sure to not get distracted again.
Ve, I remember that meeting~ Artù had brought food because I made tiramisu for everyone to share and Francis said something about Artù being a bad cook. The only reason I didn't dies was because I was a nation, I know it! Artù doesn't cook food, he cooks lies~ Cooking is an art and it should taste to match!

Lieber Feliciano,
Lovino is mixing up his... famiglia finances with the country's economy? Now my last doubts about your finances are cleared, but I am not sure if that is good or bad. Apparently we still have a long way to go. *sigh* Don't listen to Romano, please. I will try to explain national and business economics to you as soon as I have finished the reports I am working on currently. The mere fact that he likes to drink is not bad, but not knowing his limit is. I remember the party, but I must have missed the drinking contest. Otherwise I would have stopped Gilbert. Oh, that is why Russia was in such a good mood all of a sudden, I see. You could put it that way, seeing as Gilbert just threw a match into the carton. I agree that they were pretty to look at, but I don't like the smell or the sound too much, since they remind me of... you know. The next occasion to light rockets will probably be new year's. Unless you decide not to spend the night with your family, which I highly doubt, it will be up to you to decide on fireworks.
As I said, I assume that he tries to hold back when he visits other countries. So I don't know if my method will also work for you. I can try to train you though if you want. Make sure to straighten your back while standing, lift your chin a little, don't fidget, keep a serious expression and speak with a loud and distinct voice. Do you think you can do that*? I can imagine what your sister wanted to say was that you both seem to have missed each other a lot when you were seperated, maybe even that you want to make sure that you are not separated after it took so long to be united again. It is no secret that Romano and I never got along too well, but nevertheless he can't be a bad guy when you like him so much. He doesn't have to change, but trying to be a bit friendlier wouldn't hurt. Oh no, not another trigger-happy, grumpy, protective of his younger sibling country...! I see a bad headache coming up.
It is really frightening, but please don't let it get to yourself. Your people will surely try their best to rescue the city. All right, if you don't want me to tell I won't. But you should at least let your brother know about it. We are friends, aren't we? What affects your life also affects me, or did you think I would just stand by and watch when your city sinks? So of course you could have told me from the start. There are always a lot of things going on everybody has to take care of, when there is no war then there is a natural disaster or a economical crisis. You should know that by now. We just have to give your best and work off the reams of paper... *sigh* I shouldn't have taken one day off.
Admittedly, I agree with France on that. You are exaggerating though. I am sure that you have survived worse things before.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig

Luddi,
Ve, that's not it! Lovi and I are in charge of cleaning the money our Famiglia earns, so when he tries to explain how the budget works and what the plans we have to reduce our debt mean he starts saying they're like our processes for choosing where to send our money to be circulated back into the economy and it's very different and I get confused~ But Luddi always makes sure to say what it means without me getting distracted and that really helps, even if I forget after a while! D-Don't listen to Lovi? But why? He's the one who's been running our finances so far and he's the reason our debt level hasn't increased the past decade or so...
Oooh, I get it now, Luddi! Ve, that isn't a very good thing, but doesn't doing that help raise his tolerance level? Gilbert and fratelloni Francis and Antonio are so funny when they're drunk! They really like to hug people, and they're really silly~ It's very cute, ve! They come hide from their bosses at mia casa after a night of having fun and it's so adorable seeing them trying to hide from the sun under my bed~~ It's even funnier when Lovi finds them because he yells a lot but still helps me make breakfast for us all, though I always have to make Gilbert and Francis's. Ve, so much fun~
Luddi doesn't like fireworks?? M-Mi dispiace Luddi, I wouldn't have lit off so many if I knew they reminded you of bad times! I don't think they do but if Luddi does I won't do it again~ Mi dispiace Luddi, sir!
Stand up straight, lift my chin, scary face, and loud voice... Va bene, Luddi! Grazie for the help, I'll be sure to practice lots before I try talking to my boss! Maybe if I do it right I can get out of trouble and maybe be let back into the Roma offices before 2013~ Grazie grazie grazie~ I've sent tiramisu as a thank you, I hope Luddi likes it!
Ve? Ooooh, I get it now! Ve, I think it's true, I would never let anyone try to separate Lovi and I again, not ever! He's my big brother and my other half of Italia, I need him~ Ve, I wish you and Lovi could get along better, but he won't ever tell me why he doesn't like you... Mi dispiace, I'll try talking to him again. Of course Lovi's not a bad guy, Luddi! He never lies to me about things, not ever, and he always makes me breakfast if we have a World Meeting and I stayed up too late working, and even if he's mean to me I know he means well and he always apologizes to me! He's also very gentle to our flowers and veggies and my kitti Canoli~ I just don't think he trusts the other nations very much and he's not very nice to people he doesn't trust. Oh, I'll do the best I can to make sure he doesn't bring a gun to the Meeting, I don't want any injuries to get us into even more trouble than we are with the other nations, not after all the mean things Berlusconi is saying...
V-Ve, I'll try my best Luddi, I'll try... T-Tell Lovi? M-Ma, Lovi's economy is worse than mine, and his cities need help too, I don't want to worry him about Venezia until I've helped him calm everything down...I-I don't like it when Lovi worries about me, he gets really sad and I don't like it when Lovi is sad... S-Sì, we are amici, Luddi, m-ma--No, I-I didn't-- Veee~ Luddi, I-I just didn't want you to worry too, mi dispiace... I only found out how bad it was in 2000, and they started working on the Moses project in 2003, so I thought everything would be okay... I was going to tell you after the flood in 2008, but then the economy worsened and the Euro-Crisis started, and it just semed like a bad time to mention anything... The sinking problem's been happening for over a thousand years, if we couldn't solve it in that time, how could anyone in less than fifty? I don't want to ask everyone for help, only for it to fail... That would be cruel and selfish of me and it would just hurt everyone more than if they didn't know... Ignorance is bliss, sì? I-I know there are always problems everyone has to face, but this situation could destroy the Euro and hurt a lot of nations, I don't want to bother anyone with that kind of problem hanging over everyone's heads, especially since Antonio, Lovi and I need to fix our economy to help the situation... Ve, why don't you have Gilbert help you, Luddi? Isn't he East Germany now, I'm sure he'd be willing to help you with work!
I-I am not, Luddi! That food would have killed me, I know it~~

I dont either, but if they did get hurt, it would be their problems, and maybe that would teach them a lesson. Lieber Feliciano,
don't say one more word. Our code of criminal procedure obliges us to report criminal acts to the police. Thus I prefer not knowing about your famiglia business, black money, how you earned or laundered it. The economics I will explain to you are how they are supposed to work officially and legally. If you forget it after a while, have you ever thought about taking notes? Romano should have made the mafia register a business, pay income tax, trade tax and social security contributions for their employees. It would have helped your economy a lot.
By raising his tolerance level I hope you don't mean drinking on a regular basis for training. *sigh* Gilbert, France and Spain are a terrible mix. Ever since I was little I wondered how on earth it was possible to come up with such idiotic ideas and cause a mess like they usually did when they got drunk together. Thank you for the information. I kept trying to find their hide-out for quite a while now.
That is not the problem. Fireworks are enjoyable to look at, so from time to time I like them. I just can't help the old memories when I hear the range of bangs and smell the reek of powder and burnt paper. Even after all those years it seems that I could never fully get over the war. There is no need to worry though, it sounds worse than it is.
Very good. You can train looking impressive in front of a mirror if you are unsure how to do it. I am looking forward to seeing your results then. Good luck! Thank you for the tiramisu. It was delicious, but you don't have to make a habit of sending me food.
I go on the theory that you shcould have figured that out by yourself. Romano probably feared I would have a bad influence on you, looking back he was not completely wrong maybe. Nevertheless I still hope that you learned a thing or two. You are right, he is brutally honest, but it is good to hear that he is not always in a rage. Getting him to bring no weapons would be a great help.
As I just tried to explain, everybody will always have something to worry about. Thus if you wait for a pause for breath to tell him, you will surely wait forever. Romano will only get angrier the longer you play idyllic world for him. When you let him in on your fear you will not only see that he will gladly support you but also that it will take a load off your mind. Of course Gilbert tries to help me, but I rather have him concentrating on the Aufbau Ost. Moreover, when it comes to paper-work his attention span unfortunatelly is not the longest anyway. Bavaria helps me with the reports on the finances recently, since he is not only the richest of my brothers but has also one of the strongest economies in entire Europe. Unfortunately he never liked the European Union too much, which forces me to choose carefully which work I let him do*.
I am not going to argue about a nonsense like that.
Viele Grüße, Ludwig
-- Aufbau Ost - development of the former German Democratic Republic * in reality Germany is just a workaholic with an early burnout syndrome who (typically for it) refuses to accept help
((*lol* No problem. That's probably just like him. xD))

Lieber Schweiz,
slow pets can also be trained with enough patience. I ensure you that he was neither holding tight nor groping me. Apparently it must be his southern temper that makes him hug people for greeting. He has a different sense of distance, which can be quite irritating at times. You are the only one who brings a gun to world meetings, so whoever you shoot at will be unarmed. Regardless of your intention to kill, injure or warn them, it will always be exaggerated self-defence. How about a water pistole instead of a real one? I will just rejoice at it in silence.

Mio Amico Luddi,
Ve? Okay! I'll be sure to not say anything else about it, I don't want Luddi or Lovi or I to get into trouble! I know, that's how Luddi always explains it and that really helps becaues it's a lot more difficult to do things this way than the way Lovi and I do for the--Ve, I almost said something I said I wouldn't~ I have taken notes before, but I can't ever find them... Lovi make a business? Silly Luddi, Lovi isn't the Capo! But we can't do that because it will make it easier for the polizia to find us and that would be baaaaad~
Ma, isn't that what Gilbert does though? Ve, they aren't a terrible mix! They're really funny and they're always really nice to me! Si, they might have some strange ideas but it's good that they have fun, right? O-Oh, Luddi you can't drag them back to work when they're at mia casa! I promised them I would let them stay with me until their hangovers were gone, they always look so sad when they come over...
Oh, povero Luddi~ Is there anything I can do to help??
Ve, I tried it in the mirror, just like you said, but I just look silly~ Like when Lovi would follow Luddi around during the war with that really funny mustache and accidentally put it on trying to make Luddi look silly~ But I'll practice until I don't look silly anymore! Oh, prego Luddi! I'll be sure to send you more when I make dinner!
Bad influence? Ve, how was Luddi a bad influence? I don't understand~ W-Wait, what am I learning about?? Luddi, I'm starting to get confused~ Of course! And I'll make sure not to bring my weapons this time too, so Lovi doesn't get upset for not doing what I'm asking him to do!
...I guess you're right, Luddi...I'll tell him after he calms down, he's still angry that I'm in trouble with Berlusconi. But why would it...'take a load off my mind', ve? I'm not sure how that would work...
I'm sure if you ask Gilbert he would focus, and maybe taking a fifteen minute break to relax if he starts to get distracted before going back in would help. That's what Lovi has me do and now I'm able to sit for five hours at a time signing papers! Isn't that amazing, Luddi?? Ve, I didn't know that Bavaria helped you do the paperwork, that's really nice of him! Oh? Why doesn't he like the EU? I thought he didn't care, I'm sure you could send him more work and he wouldn't be too upset! He's your fratellone, he wouldn't be too upset if you asked for help, right?
That's because you know I'm right, Luddi~

Germany, why in the hell would I bring a water pistol? It isnt over exagerrated, have you ever been to the meetings? Those halfwits nearly kill everyone in the room with their arguments, I can never be sure. So no, I will not use a water pistol. I never shoot to kill, and I wont ever unless I need to. That isnt going to change. It would be better if you did. Viele Grüße, Deutschland
